Happy Labor Day,

The 2027 Spring Games are coming, and Area 15 Special Olympics can't wait to celebrate amazing athletes from across our area. We're excited to have a fantastic day of sport, art, and fun and look forward to seeing our competitors, buddies, volunteers, families, and supporters on the field.

I am thrilled to share some fantastic news: the 2027 Area 15 Spring Games will be held at the Western Carolina State Fairgrounds on April 23, 2027!

This new location offers so many exciting possibilities for our athletes, families, schools, coaches, and volunteers. I believe our partnership with the fairgrounds will help us create an incredible and memorable Spring Games while opening the door to even more opportunities for Area 15 in the future.

We're so proud to share that our Area 15 representatives performed their absolute best at the Special Olympics USA Games. Breyden, Deloris, Terreance, and Amy met each competition with determination, skill, and sportsmanship and came out as victors!

Congratulations go to Terreance for bringing home a gold and silver medals in pickleball, Amy for bringing home a gold medal in pickleball, Breyden for bringing home a bronze and 4th Place medals in tennis, and Deloris for bringing home a 4th Place medal in tennis.

Thank you for supporting our amazing athletes and their Unified Partners. Your well-wishes, prayers, and kind acts pushed them to give their all and your kindness will remain in their memories long after the finish on their medals fade.
