2024 WGA Christmas Party

The Women’s Oklahoma Golf Association lost a true friend and icon in Ann Durand Watkins when she passed away on October 9th.

Ann began her WOGA history in the 1960’s playing in the Girls’ Junior State Championship. Her commitment and support spanned over 65 years. In 2004 Ann became President of the Women’s Oklahoma Golf Hall of Fame. Twenty-one Inductees were honored under her Leadership. Ann worked tirelessly promoting girls’ and women’s golf.

Ann, you were an inspiration to us all and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Eddie and Family.

Services will be Friday October 18th, Stillwater Life Church, at 2 PM. Reception to follow afterwards at Stillwater Country Club.

In lieu of flowers please consider giving to one of Ann’s favorite charities: OSU Foundation Ann Pitts Legacy Golf Scholarship in honor of Ann Watkins, Wings of Hope-Stw Domestic Violence, American Cancer Society.

Several WGA members competed in the 2024 SCC Labor Day Tournament this past weekend. Congratulations to Kincy Madison and Donna Yost for their 1st place win, Sheila Bond and Michele Jean for their 2nd place win, and Cheryl Martin and Lisa Quisenberry for their 3rd place win in the Women’s Flight.
