💪 Strong Overhead. Strong Everywhere.

This is what a solid thruster rep looks like — standing tall, bar locked out, and everything working together.

At the top of the thruster, it’s not just about getting the bar overhead… it’s about owning the position.

In these moments we’re looking for:

• a strong, stable lockout
• core engaged and ribs down
• shoulders active and supporting the load
• full control before moving into the next rep

These athletes aren’t just finishing the lift — they’re showing strength, confidence, and control under the bar.

That’s what coached training is all about. Building positions that are strong, repeatable, and safe — especially when the workout gets tough.

If you’re in Agawam, Westfield, Feeding Hills, or anywhere in Western Massachusetts and want to train in an environment that helps you move better and get stronger, we’d love to have you.

“If you make this bottle flip, you don’t have to do squats.”

immediately kicks the bottle across the gym

Some coaching methods are more ethical than others 😅

Needless to say… the squats still got done.

🧘‍♂️ Stretch First. Dodgeball After. 😅

A pretty accurate summary of our kids classes.

These photos show two important parts of what we do — starting class with guided stretching and movement prep, then finishing with a fun game of dodgeball to keep kids active, engaged, and excited to come back.

In our kids classes we focus on:

• learning how to move safely
• improving flexibility and coordination
• building confidence through movement
• creating a positive environment where fitness is fun

The structure matters, but so does the fun. When kids enjoy being active, they build healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

And honestly… ending class with dodgeball is usually everyone’s favorite part 😅

If you're in Agawam, Westfield, Feeding Hills, or anywhere in Western Massachusetts and looking for a structured, coach-led kids fitness program, we’d love to have your child join us.

💡 Tip Tuesday: How to Properly Use the Sled Push

The sled push is one of the best tools for building leg drive, conditioning, and full-body power — and it works for beginners and advanced athletes alike.

A lot of people try to muscle the sled with just their upper body. In this clip, we’re breaking down how to create better body position and use the legs effectively so the movement becomes smoother and more powerful.

What we’re focusing on:

• driving through the legs instead of reaching with the arms
• keeping the body at a strong forward angle
• maintaining tension through the core
• taking short, powerful steps to keep momentum moving

The reason this matters is because the sled push builds real-world strength and conditioning without adding unnecessary impact to the joints.

When done correctly, it helps improve:

• leg strength and power
• conditioning and work capacity
• acceleration and athletic movement
• core stability under effort

This is another great example of why coached training matters. Small adjustments in body position and footwork can completely change how efficient the sled feels.

If you’re in Agawam, Westfield, Feeding Hills, or anywhere in Western Massachusetts and want help learning movements like this the right way, we’d love to help.

📦 Step Up. Stay Strong.

Box step overs are one of those movements that look simple — until the workout starts adding up 😅

They’re great for building leg strength, balance, coordination, and conditioning while teaching athletes how to move with control under fatigue.

In class we focus on:

• driving through the working leg
• staying balanced and controlled on top of the box
• keeping posture strong throughout the movement
• moving consistently instead of rushing reps

Movements like this are a great reminder that fitness doesn’t always have to be flashy to be effective. Simple, well-coached movements done consistently build real strength over time.

And as always, the best part is getting to do the work alongside a strong, supportive community.

If you’re in Agawam, Westfield, Feeding Hills, or anywhere in Western Massachusetts and want structured small-group training that helps you move better and get stronger, we’d love to have you.

POV: the coach looks away for 0.3 seconds 😅

Coach: “Make sure you fully extend on the box jump.”

Me immediately after: starts evolving into a roly poly

To be fair… the workout was long, the legs were cooked, and survival mode kicked in 😂 well it was supposed to...

GOOD LUCK LOU!!!
We’d ALL like to wish .vibes.lou the best of luck as she heads out to compete at the Northern California Classic CrossFit Semifinals 💪

This opportunity is the result of countless hours of hard work, consistency, discipline, and dedication. Early mornings, long training sessions, tough workouts, and all the small things done right over time — and now she gets the chance to test herself on a big stage.

Lou has been an incredible representation of what this community is about. Not just through her performance, but through the way she shows up, supports others, and leads by example inside the gym every day.

We’re very proud of everything she’s already accomplished and excited to watch her compete.

From all of us at CrossFit Wingman — we’re cheering you on the whole way. Go crush it, Lou 👊🔥

💡 Tip Tuesday: How to Build a Strong Ring Support Position

The ring support might look simple, but it’s one of the best ways to build shoulder stability, upper-body control, and foundational gymnastic strength.

A lot of athletes try to rush into advanced ring movements without first learning how to properly support themselves on the rings. In this clip, we’re breaking down the basics of building a strong and stable support position.

What we’re focusing on:

• pressing down into the rings
• keeping the shoulders active and stable
• maintaining a tall posture through the torso
• turning the rings slightly out for better positioning and control

The reason this matters is because the ring support position builds the foundation for movements like dips, muscle-ups, and overall shoulder stability.

When done correctly, it helps improve:

• shoulder strength and control
• upper-body stability
• body awareness on the rings
• confidence in gymnastic movements

This is a great example of why coached training matters. Small adjustments in positioning can completely change how stable and effective the movement feels.

If you’re in Agawam, Westfield, Feeding Hills, or anywhere in Western Massachusetts and want help building strength and control on the rings, we’d love to help.

💪 Learn It. Then Do It.

First the demo.
Then the reps.

In these photos, our coach is showing the kids how to perform a dumbbell overhead lunge, then guiding them as they put it into practice.

That’s how we teach in our kids classes — clear instruction first, then hands-on coaching as they move.

With movements like this, we’re building:

• balance and coordination
• core and shoulder stability
• lower-body strength
• confidence through proper movement

Holding a dumbbell overhead challenges kids to stay tall, stay controlled, and really understand how their body moves — all while being supported by a coach every step of the way.

It’s not just about getting through the reps. It’s about learning how to move well from the start.

If you're in Agawam, Westfield, Feeding Hills, or anywhere in Western Massachusetts and looking for a structured, coach-led kids fitness program, we’d love to have your child join us.
