What a Blessed Day to have Frank & Diane Roberts 17th Annual Race Against Cancer at Farmington Dragway. Thank you to all Racers and Fans that could attend this special race to help so many people fighting this terrible disease.
Taking his first ever TOP Eliminator win was Chris Mitchell of Oak Ridge, NC in his Chem Source Racing Methanol Chevy Roadster. The bright green Chem Source entry of Mitchell picked up the win as Marion, NC’s David Wiseman in his Bargain House Appliance Dragster went .002ths red on the start.
Jeff Bowman of Lexington, NC in a Pontiac Firebird and TG Paschal of Julian, NC in a Dragster were the semi-finalist.
The Foot Brakes finals were made up of Mocksville, NC’s Timmy Alexander and Hildebran, NC’s Brent Hyatt. Both decided to split the money and flip for the winner’s check. Hyatt in his Yenko Chevy Nova won the flip and Timmy in his K Ray owned “Big Red” Nova was runner-up. Either way both came away winners. Jeff Flood of Farmington, NC was the lone semi-finalist.
The newly crowned JR Dragster champion Jaxon Phillips of East Bend, NC drove his Clinard Concepts, Phillips Racing to the Race Against win against the “Eat My Dust” racing team Dragster of Lexington, NC’s Eli Gibson. Side note this was an all third generation finals, as both Dad’s and Grandpa’s were present on the starting line.
Jaxson Edwards of Cleveland, NC and Easton Teague of Hildebran, NC were the semi-finalist.
Once again THANK YOU all Racers, Fans and especially all the great supporting sponsors for helping to make this the great race to Fight Cancer.
