I’m excited to share that Coppers Deer and Game Tracking Service will be partnering with the Lenawee County Conservation League for the 2026 Hunter Safety Class.

Together, we will be hosting an informative session focused on what to do before and after the shot, helping hunters make ethical, effective decisions in the field. The session will conclude with a live demonstration, giving attendees a hands-on understanding of proper tracking techniques.

This is a great opportunity to learn practical skills that promote responsible hunting and successful recovery.

We are excited to give back to the next generation of hunters!

Copper has hit the point where it’s just automatic. Track set 30hrs ago. Wind blowing in the opposite direction of the scent. 500ish total yards. Transition was trees, pines, mud field and grass. Never missed a beat. I couldn’t be more proud of my wingman.

Really proud of copper this morning. I set a track that aged for 26hrs. When we went to start the track, it was completely covered by ice and rain. Just over 400 yards with 6 sharp turns. Copper worked through it taking his time problem solving and found it within 15 min.

Even if you know you smoked the deer, please give me a call so copper can get some work in before the season closes. We can help drag and load deer as well!!!! Calls have slown down. We’re back to supplementing with mock tracks from hooves taken during bow season.

Give us a call if you have a known or confident kill, we will track for free.
