It was a great night for the Lady Cougars!

Winning the home opener & the first league match of the season in 3 sets!

Both middle hitters - Ava Feick & Gigi Masters - took charge tonight with 8 kills each along with 4 blocks for Feick & 5 blocks for Masters. Zoe Cherfan also contributed 8 kills along with Hattie Fansler with 13 kills. Leah Sherman led the defense with 16 digs & Brynn Davis had 33 assists & 3 blocks to ensure the win!

The LCS Cougars are excited to get back on the road Thursday for our second league match against Erie Mason.

EATON RAPIDS!

Competing in 12 sets for the day, the Cougars left it all on the floor taking second place at the Eaton Rapids Tournament!

Starting the day in pool play against some competitive teams, the Cougars went undefeated to start the day - going 2-0 vs. Mason (26-24, 26-24), 2-0 against Haslett (25-16, 26-24), and 2-0 against Michigan Center (25-14, 25-10).

Taking first place in the pool, the Cougars entered bracket play. First up in Quarter Finals, the Cougars defeated Waverly 2-0 (25-7, 25-14). Stepping into the Semi Final, the Cougars went up against Haslett again, and won in 2 sets (25-16, 25-6)!
The Cougars started the day & ended the day against a competitive Mason team - they left it all on the floor in a close championship match, taking the title of Runner Up (20-25, 24-26).

It was an incredible team effort today - we are truly proud of our Lady Cougars!

Tournament Stats:
Hattie Fansler: 46 kills, 28 digs, & 9 blocks
Ava Feick: 24 kills, 19 blocks, & 12 aces
Zoe Cherfan: 26 kills & 10 aces
Leah Sherman: 39 digs & 3 aces
Brynn Davis: 111 assists, 11 blocks, & 3 aces

The Cougars are excited to begin league play next week at their home opener against Whiteford!
