We are proud to announce our lead goaltending instructor Dershahn Stewart! A native of Amherstburg, Ontario, Stewart spent 5 seasons with the Adrian College Bulldogs, where he established himself as one of the premier goaltenders in NCAA Division III hockey. His time in the crease for the Bulldogs was defined by consistency, discipline, and a steady presence that helped anchor one of the top programs in the country, in which he also played a part in the program’s 2022 National Championship victory.

Stewart’s collegiate career was filled with success, both individually and as part of a dominant team. Over 5 seasons, he played in 77 games, amassing an outstanding record, including 50 career wins, and earning numerous accolades. In the 2023–24 season, Stewart appeared in 29 games and recorded a .936 save percentage, one of the highest in the nation. He followed that up with another strong campaign in 2024–25, starting 26 games and finishing with a .910 save percentage. Off the ice, Stewart also distinguished himself as a student-athlete. He earned Academic All-District honors and was recognized by the American Hockey Coaches Association for his excellence in the classroom.
After concluding his collegiate career at AC, Dersh moved on to play professionally with his current team the Coventry Blaze of the EIHL.

The Coventry Blaze, based in the United Kingdom, compete in the top tier of professional hockey in the UK and are known for developing North American talent.
Dershahn brings a strong passion for the craft of goaltending to the rink to go along with his love of teaching the game!

In 2007 Lenawee County finally got something it had long deserved, an ice rink that would be the epicenter for the growth of hockey in Southeast Michigan. Now 19 years later we are attempting to bridge the gap between aspiring youth hockey players of all skill levels and our current collegiate athletes as well as accomplished alumni. TPHSD is a skills development group that will allow our talented professional and collegiate athletes/coaches the opportunity to impart their wisdom of the game to young athletes. Our goal is to take players of all skill levels and help them reach their goals. Whether it be your first season on the ice or your draft year. Be on the lookout for updates on training groups and times in the near future!
