Sunday! Join our younger brothers at Desert Communities Soccer Club Pathfinders (United Premier Soccer League) squad, as they host Villareal Las Vegas in the second round of qualifying for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The team boasts several younger High Desert Elite players as well as High Desert GK icon Pedrito Zequeida, who is on loan to support the USOC effort. Action kicks off at 3 p.m. at Helendale Community Park. Show up for GK giveaways and autographs. The average age of the squad is an impressive 17-years-old, stepping up early into the man's game. Huge props! See you there.

12 p.m. (noon) to 2 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, February 20 and 21

LOCATION:
IE Legends Soccer Complex, 3496 West Little League Drive, San Bernardino, CA 92407

COST:
$40 payable online (https://bit.ly/HDE_TRYOUT-21-M) or at the tryouts.

WHAT TO BRING:
Players should wear black shirt, black socks, and black shorts. Players should also have shin guards, cleats and other position-related gear.

YOUTH PLAYERS:

High Desert Elite NPSL Head Coach Luis Luviano prepares prospective players for 2021 season tryouts during last week's closed session. Open tryouts for the 2021 men's teams (NPSL / UPSL) are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, February 20 and 21 in the High Desert. Minimum age is 2006 birth year.

Our first National Premier Soccer League home game is 7 pm, Saturday, March 7 at Adelanto Stadium & Event Center. No HD Elite game this weekend.

Instead, this Saturday, February 22, please support the High Desert high school soccer programs competing at home in CIF Southern Section semi finals. Hesperia High School Boys are at 5 pm, Oak Hills High School Girls are at 3 pm, Boys are at 5 pm. Please show your support.

High Desert lands a 4-1 victory over NPSL rival Oxnard Guerreros, marking the end of the 2020 preseason. Knocking in the HD Elite goals and delivering the assists were Jose Rodas from Marcus Aragon, Brett Croft from Jose Rodas, Daniel “Thor” Baumgartner from Jose Rodas, and Marcus Aragon from Carlos Cruz. Kudos to HD Elite GK Matthew Garcia for the good read, nearly stopping another PK. Goal of the game goes to Aragon, smacking one into to the top right from a good distance outside the 18. After the red card of HD Right Back Andy Ramirez, High Desert still managed to score two goals with just 10 men on the field. Oxnard earned a red card later in the game. HD Elite returns to its winning ways after suffering a 2-1 home loss last weekend versus UPSL's USA Soccer Stars. Thanks to all the fans who continue to support us. Your cheers and jeers from the grandstands are incredibly important to the growth of the game and shaping future professional opportunities for our players.
