r not only total body work but also camaraderie among fellow "boot campers." ReBoot Fitness is a great way to get in shape and change your entire attitude about exercise. We are outdoors 90% of the time so dress in layers, bring water, a towel, and free weights (3-8 Lbs for women; 8-12 lbs for men). In addition we offer Speciality Training Clinics for Tough Mudder type races, triathlons, and running. Small group fitness options, have a group of friends with a common goal, we can customize your fitness to fit your groups goal. NEW: We are also offering health coaching for lifestyle change. So many Americans desire to reach better health and wellness but end up in a cycle of starting out with ambitious goals only to slip back into old patterns of unhealthy behavior. With 75% of all health care costs going to the treatment of chronic disease we all need guidance, planning, accountability, support and motivation to achieve a more balanced healthy lifestyle. The CDC reports that many chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma, cancer and metabolic syndrome can be prevented or managed by eating a healthier diet, increasing physical activity, managing stress and changing behaviors. We will work on goal setting, self monitoring, nutritional & calorie expenditure needs, independent exercise programming, belief systems, setting up positive environments, motivation & adherence. REBOOT VISION STATEMENT

I believe that we are all athletes no matter our fitness level. I believe that deep down we all have a sense of adventure and desire to be healthy and fit. I envision creating a sense of community among my students. I believe in providing skills, tools and guidance to my students so they can continue to grow and try new challenges. I will bring these beliefs to life by listening, having patience, showing compassion, pushing my students when they need pushing, being honest and accountable. I envision my passion and enthusiasm for living a healthy, active, and meaningful life to motivate and positively affect my student’s lives not for the short term but for the rest of their lives.

Our exercise of the month is a close grip chest press.

Good for inner chest & tri-ceps.

By keeping the weights pressed together you maintain constant tension. Don’t let those weight’s separate 😉.

Happy Global Running Day: running is more than running.

You don’t need to be fast to benefit from it & while it can be a solo activity running with a group makes it more rewarding.

The Addison road warriors will welcome you!

As we look at movement quality this month, we will be slowing some exercises down to see where our weaknesses may be.

Movement quality includes:

• mobility & flexibility
• posture & alignment
• muscle activation
• tempo & speed

Let’s see where our weaknesses are & try to improve them.

New month new focus!

We will be working on improving our movement quality.

Be present during your exercise & sometimes pause & hold to learn where your weakness are.

More to come on this.

Closing in our on Forest Bathing bingo & it looks like a perfect weekend to get outside & cross off more squares.

Getting outside, getting into the woods, touching & experiencing nature is huge for our health.

Just 15-20 minutes in the woods or nature can actively lower cortisol levels, shift your brain out of high alert, improve your immune system, restore your focus, improve your mental & physical health.

Getting dirty is good, getting wet is good, touching nature is good, shake things up, HONEST IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!!

I’m excited to see how everyone did with this challenge.

PS my rock I still need to paint 🎨

More to celebrate, Streamwood Bootcamp is back outside as well.

Streamwood Park District is celebrating their opening in the 90’s & the original bootcamp’s were always outside using minimal equipment & the elements to do their workouts. So perfect timing to get back outside.

And Radek & I were the winning team for performance week but the team all rocked it tonight!

Let’s celebrate, Integrated Fitness is back outside! 🎉 at Addison Park District's Club Fitness

Perfect timing as we focus on the benefits being in nature.

Exercise outdoors typically ramps up our calorie burn, improves our immunity, improves sleep & often lowers perceived exertion.

Cheers to Maria & Kathy for bringing the win tonight since it’s performance week.

Another item on our list was spend some time gardening. I know we have quite a few gardeners in our group.

For me I used to do it more when I lived in my apartments, I was a big time container gardener.

What was fun with this project was this sapling I was given instead of a medal for a race I did last Summer in Door County. It took a year but finally got it in the ground, hoping it makes it. 🤞

Gardening offers low impact physical benefits, improved hand strength & huge mental health benefits.

Dig in that dirt!
