It is with a very heavy heart that we are announcing the official closure of Aisling Mountain Farm's therapeutic riding program and riding lesson program.
This is not an announcement we ever imagined having to make.
Aisling was built around a belief in what can happen between horses and people. Over the years, we have had the privilege of watching riders learn, struggle, laugh, grow in confidence, find courage, accomplish things they weren't sure they could do—and form extraordinary relationships with some truly extraordinary horses.
Blaze. Asher. Guinness. Sunny. Sophie. Monty. May. And our little guys, Latte and Knick Knack.
They have each been part of this place in their own way, and they have given far more than anyone could reasonably ask of a horse. We are profoundly grateful to them, and to every rider and family who trusted us and became part of Aisling.
There is much more to say.
In the days and weeks ahead, we will begin sharing the stories of these horses, the story of this farm, what we hoped to build here—and what this place has meant to us and to the people who became part of it.
Some of those stories are joyful. Some are funny. Some are heartbreaking. And some have never been told publicly before.
But today, we simply want to acknowledge the end of something that mattered very much.
To every rider who sat on one of our horses, every family who cheered from the sidelines, every volunteer who lent a hand, and everyone who believed in what we were trying to create here:
