North Cobb American Legion Post 304 North Cobb American Legion Post 304 The 5th District has approximately 6,200 members. There are twelve districts within the Department of Georgia.

Our Post is assigned to the Mighty 5th District which encompasses 21 posts within Metro Atlanta area, the communities to the west of Atlanta. The Department of Georgia has over 44,000 members. The Department of Georgia is a large and active member of the National Organization. Within Georgia the Department supports Boys State, Legion Baseball, Legion Riders, VA Hospitals and our military returning

home from current conflicts. The Department has a big mission supporting all of Georgia’s 241 local Post as well as supporting the National programs. More information on the Department of Georgia can be found at www.galegion.org.

For those who were not able to attend the Post Christmas party, we are honored to present the Ron Asby commemorative challenge coin. This has been something we have been wanting to do for a very long time and finally found the best way to represent our former Commander. These coins were donated to the post so all proceeds will go to help fund several of our efforts. Please let us know if you are interested in buying one as they will be available for purchase. The coins are $10.
