It is a unique driving technique where the driver intentionally loses traction in the rear wheels through turns, while maintaining vehicle control and a high exit speed and if you’re lucky, barreling smoke from the rear of the vehicle. For those of you that do understand drifting, here is more about Blueprint DRIFT. Blueprint DRIFT is a close network of Drivers, Fabricators, Friends and Family, al
l of which share the same passion, a passion for competition. Forming at the end of the 2010 season, Blueprint DRIFT began its journey to obtain a status in the Upper Mid-West as not only a team, but as a recognized name in the automotive community. Currently we are gaining the respect of local enthusiasts, but why stop there? As the 2011 Drift season comes to start, we plan to bring the Blueprint DRIFT name to areas throughout the United States holding events of extreme recognition. Throughout the journey of competition, we want to provide recognition to our homes, communities, and our sponsors. DRIVERS:
Max Crocker started drifting with a 1986 FC Mazda Rx-7 with a Turbo II swap in 2008, making it to a small number of events in the area. In 2009, he sold the FC and purchased a '93 R33 Skyline Gts-t with an RB25DET. He became sponsored by NOS Energy Drinks, Tintmasters Motorsports, and Sakurajima Express. Since then, he has dropped NOS Energy Drinks as a sponsor and has started working on a "closed doors" project for the upcoming 2011 season. He is looking to compete for a FormulaD pro license this upcoming season, and have fun doing it. Max has years of mechanical experience and currently works as an automotive technician. He first swapped his 1995 s14 240sx with a notchtop SR20DET in 2008. He currently daily drives this car, but still risked it all by driving at 2 events in 2010. The first event this year was his first time drifting ever. That was at the CinCity Drift Expo in Mandan, ND. The second event he made it to was the NOS Energy Drink Drift-In, that was in Shakopee, MN where he placed 8th out of 23 drivers. His goals are to progress his driving skills in the 2011 season and at some point acquire a FormulaD pro license, and have fun. Brandon Almer bought his 1986 FC Mazda Rx-7 in 2007 and immediately started drifting. At the end of 2007, he blew his stock rotary motor. He then replaced it with another N/A 13b and drove it throughout 2008. At the end of 2008, he decided to put the car under construction and turbo the N/A motor. After 2 years of a break, he has decided to scrap the rotary and go with a reliable 5.3L v8 out of a 99 Chevrolet. He will have a great monster for 2011. His goals are like any other grassroots drifter. PIT CREW:

MEDIA, MARKETING, & OTHER
Tanya Hodson is the official media for Blueprint DRIFT. She is deeply involved in marketing for the team. She also is Max's manager. In 2009, she started helping Max prepare his car for the 2010 season. Tanya joined him in his first event and fell in love with the sport. Since then she has helped him prepare, stay focused, and go all out at drift events. She also stays involved when it comes to fixing the cars or just swapping tires. In 2011, she will have a camera in hand, so be ready to see some good videos. Zach Olson has been involved with motorsports for the past 6 years. Starting off locally with the Honda scene, he branched into other widely favored platforms, including sport bikes. His first official race car was a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, built in the early part of 2009. This build began his 2009 race season up and down the east coast. At the end of 2009 season, the Evo was sold, but the urge to compete forged on. He currently does not have a build scheduled, but has big plans to get back on the track! Until his next build, he is currently working on administrative tasks such as sponsorships, research, and project planning.
