I recommend keeping pool temperature between 76C and 82C for swim lessons. Pool temperature below 76C is too cold for lessons unless you are an adult professional swimmer (even pro swimmers use swimsuit for swimming in water below 76C). If you have a pool without heater, that temperature will be achieved if its at least 90 degrees outside and pool is exposed to direct sunlight, not blocked by tree shade, and that temperature holds for a few days in the row as pool will always be colder than air. covering up pool at night and keeping it open to direct sunlight helps to keep it warm.
