Mountain Isshinryu Karate Academy - MIKA A traditional martial arts academy, which specializes in the study of Okinawan Isshinryu Karate and the study of Okinawan weapons (Kobudo).

In addition to providing expert instruction in Okinawan Isshinryu Karate and Kobudo, we also provide special classes in women's self defense, law enforcement training, tanbo and escrima stick training, general self defense, and Mixed Martial Arts training.

Isshinryu Karate and most traditional martial arts have grappling maneuvers like these in their arsenal if you know how to interpret the kata and receive experienced instruction as to where they are and in their application
