The kids battled through the heat, competed hard, and gave us another great night of street hockey!

Attention all Grade 4-8 Ice hockey Players. Abington Residents Only.

A new Jr. High season is upon us, and we are working to put it all together. Games are played at the Bog, Rockland, or Hobomock, on Friday Nights, from September - March.

At this point we are uncertain of the number of players we have for the upcoming season but once we have registration completed, we can give you a clearer picture. Our best guess is that the costs and plan for the next season will be comparable to last year $550), and a lot of the rostering will be fluid and change week to week.

Last year we had three teams, a Bronze, Lower Silver, and Upper Silver. 8th graders are not allowed to play in Bronze.

The Quest for Lord Arnold’s Cup has officially begun! Thank you to everyone!!!!!!

ASHL Families,

After all the work, anticipation, and excitement leading up to tonight, this is certainly not the message we wanted to send. Unfortunately, the weather is not cooperating, and we need to postpone tonight’s opening games.

Week 1 will now be played next Wednesday, August 5. Everything will shift back by one week, including the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the remainder of the season schedule.

Next Wednesday’s schedule will be:

4:30 PM: Jersey pickup for anyone who was unable to attend yesterday

5:00 PM: Arnold Park ribbon-cutting ceremony

5:15 PM: First games

6:15 PM: Second games

7:15 PM: Third games

8:15 PM: Final game

We know how excited the players and families were to finally get onto the new courts tonight. We were just as excited to see everyone there and officially begin this next chapter for Abington Street Hockey. As disappointing as this is, we need to make the safest and most responsible decision for everyone involved.

We also understand that pushing the schedule back another week means the season will now extend into the school year. We are evaluating the remaining schedule and working through the best available options. We will communicate any additional adjustments as soon as those decisions are made.

Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and continued support. We apologize for the inconvenience, but opening night will be worth the wait.
