If your young athlete was nominated to participate then go register before tomorrow’s deadline. Some fun for the kids as they chase their goals. If you coach your kids normally but they go participate in this event, you get to sit back and enjoy it as a parent on the sidelines. It’s a fun event for all.

I was asked to share the info so why not help the community as a whole out? ⬇️🥎

SHARING OTHER LOCAL TRAVEL BALL TEAMS TRYOUTS HERE!!

We’re a community, a community that lives for this sport and we all are here to help develop young athletes.

As we finish the season strong as Riptide 12U here with a couple weeks remaining we are sharing tryout information for other local teams if anyone is interested in exploring their opportunities. Please, we encourage the kids to show their talents with other organizations. Tryout season is here, some girls are moving up to 14U and some are staying with 12U another year. We are leaving Riptide for our own team as you know but we will only have a 14U team for this upcoming season.

Riptide to keep a 10-16u program. I encourage anyone and everyone to tryout for everyone.

‼️👌🏻IF YOUR CHILD MISSES OUR PRACTICE ON TUESDAY FOR THE ELMA XTREME TRYOUT WE FULLY UNDERSTAND. No issue at all. We get it. This sport is expanding so quick with a lot of teams and programs to choose from.

14U Tryouts For GRAYS HARBOR STORM FASTPITCH

DATE: July 28, 2026

TIME: 6-8pm

LOCATION: BISHOP ATHLETIC COMPLEX

‼️🥎To clear up some confusion….

Aberdeen Riptide and Grays Harbor Storm are not the same team. Not the same organization, GH Storm is a totally new team/organization that will officially start on July 27, 2026.

Aberdeen Riptide will continue their travel ball program!! Reach out to AGSA for more details on coaching vacancies if interested.

The 12U Riptide coaches Dan, Steve, and Nick are moving up to 14U but as their own team, no longer with Riptide after our final tournament this month.

Our 12U team has two tournaments left. Cascade Nationals from July 8 to July 12. Then our final tournament July 25 & 26. After our last day as Riptide, this page will officially change its name to Grays Harbor Storm Fastpitch. But until then, we’re gonna represent AGSA Riptide with respect!

Our focus is on finishing the season strong and wearing the Riptide uniform with honor and respect. These young ladies have worked hard since day one, they’ve earned the respect they’ve gotten from the community. They want to finish the season with success, please keep showing them the support as they continue to chase their goals!!

Wish these young ladies good luck!! Thank you.

Top 10 Tips for Players at Tryouts.

1. Dress like a ball player. Wear softball pants; not shorts. Wear a shirt with your last name on it; not a nickname. If you don't have a shirt with your name, where something bright and/or as unique as possible. Wear cleats; not tennis shoes.

2. Smile. Act like there's no place in the world you would rather be.

3. Talk. Talk with the coaches, other players, on the field and encourage those around you. Look everybody you talk with in the eyes and be a good listener as well.

4. Hustle. Whether running onto the field, getting ready to hit or going through drills, hustle and give 100% (with a smile and while talking).

5. Leader. Be up front and center. Don't stand in the back or be the last player in the group to go through your drills/stations.

6. Take risks. Tryouts are not a place to play it safe. Dive, layout for balls, make off-balanced and hurried throws if you must, swing hard; no wimpy swings. Go big or go home!

7. Be self-sufficient. Have everything you might need in your bag. Stay away from your parents. Don't talk with or even look at your parents during tryouts. They're being evaluated too and coaches do not want helicopter parents or parent coaches.

8. Look good failing. When you make an error, strikeout or mental mistake, forget about it immediately. Do not have a pity party. Build a bridge and get over it. Laugh it off if you must. And no matter what, do not have a pity party.

9. Ask Questions. If there is something you are unsure of or need clarification on, ask. Do not be quiet and/or shy.

10. Have fun! Let there be no doubt to all those watching that you're having fun playing a game you love, regardless of the outcome! Breathe, relax and be confident. Know that you're giving it your best effort.
