Registration and packet pick up times and locations.
Saturday is almost here! We are also so excited that you are joining us for our first annual Blue Bluff River Run hosted by VFW Post 4490 Aberdeen Mississippi. Your participation means so much to our post, and it means even more to us veterans of post 4490 than any of us could ever express.
You can pick up your registration packet on Friday, June 19 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the VFW post.

You can also pick up your registration packet Saturday morning at the location of the run. Saturday morning registration will be from 7 AM until 7:45 AM.

Things to consider day of race:
Almost half of the race is in the direct sunlight, while the other half is in the wonderful shade. You might want to make sure you bring appropriate sunscreen for the direct sunlight section, but also bug spray for the shaded section. I have personally ran the course several times… Bugs and the sun will get you.
The entire course is paved. Mostly flat until mile one. At mile one, there is a nice incline that may slow you down. Since this is an out and back, you can benefit from the incline on the way back.
There will be food vendors on site and a live DJ. Various door prizes will be handed out along with placement prizes and awards. Bring cash if you would like to patron the vendors, They will be accepting cash app. For the door prizes, you’ll be handed a ticket. Don’t lose the ticket until after the awards presentation you might win something.
We want everyone to be safe, we will have medics on scene to assist if you need any sort of medical assistance. They will be wearing blue vest. These medics are volunteers and are off duty. A kind thank you to any of them if you see them will mean a lot to them! Oh, and I must mention they are all active duty military. The VFW thanks them for not only volunteering, but for serving our country.
Lastly, The VFW is a nonprofit made up of solely volunteers. Anyone you see working the race are all unpaid volunteers. Any issues at all, they can assist you no problem. We just asked that you be kind, this is not what they do every day. This is going to be a fantastic run and family event. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for participating!
