Joseph Balondemu.B

Joseph Balondemu.B I am a professional Transformational and Life Coach, HR & Organizational Development Consultant & Counsellor. Yes, completely whole. What is your life purpose?

In my coaching practice, I provide the tools, strategy and support to help people create meaningful change in their lives. I believe that motivation comes from within each person. All people are naturally creative, resourceful and whole. It is pressures from the outside world that often knock us off balance. It is this outside looking in perspective that causes us to feel inadequate and insecure.

When we start to look at ourselves from the inside out perspective (knowing our own values, goals and desires) then we can live more empowered lives. Coaching allows clients to focus on themselves from the inside out. Rediscovering their personal values and goals. In understanding ourselves, we can live from a place of strength. We will first focus on discovering who YOU are; your strengths, saboteurs (things that hold you back) and values. When was the last time you thought about that? Never, every day, somewhere in between? I will ask questions and reflect back what I hear you say. My desire is to have you learn about yourself, grow as a human being, and get what you want in your work and your life. My intention and goal as a coach is to help you to find your answers, discoveries and realizations. Over the term of your coaching experience you may expect the following:
• You will learn how to step into new ways of thinking and believing you are worthy of your visions, dreams and greatness.
• You will celebrate your successes as well as your struggles and see both as important steps on the journey forward. Here is what Coaching will require from you:
• Commitment to the coaching sessions and taking action
• Responsibility for the results of your coaching process
• Honesty with yourself and me even if uncomfortable. You may expect me, as your Coach, to:
• Support your vision and goals and provide structure that supports you in making conscious choices.
• Ask you to step beyond your present limitations as you bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be.
• Be an objective listener.
• Tell you the truth and give you straight feedback.

CHURCH GROWTH.
The what ,the how,the obstacles and nuggets.

Today I made some keynote remarks on Church growth at the event while Marvelous Light Church was opening its 1st service that will be conducted at Victoria mall Kigezi Hall Entebbe .
This was on invitation of Senior Pastor Steven Mubazi,to speak about church growth. As always I share an extract of my remarks for you my FB friends.
It was fulfilling to see the ministry take this important stride.

My anchor scripture was
Mathew 28: 19-20.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

What is church growth?
Acts 2:42-47 describes church growth as the result of intentional evangelism and discipleship.

Luke tells us people were added to the church on a daily basis. That's church growth.

Indicators of church growth.
Call to ministry by church team.
Inward and personal transformation of members.Outreach to the lost /unbelievers who are outside the church that need help.

Ways of church growth;
*Numerical growth happens when churches reach more people and grows in size.
*Spiritual growth happens when the people in the church come to love and follow Jesus emulating his character and growing in the word.
*Kingdom growth happens when there is both spiritual and numerical growth.

We must remember though, Jesus is the one who builds His church, not us. He said, "...I will build My church..." (Matt. 16:18). There are numerous approach, methods of church growth today, however
Jesus must always be at the center. Leaders need to be keen on what strategies they adopt trying to substitute man's wisdom and methodology in the place of the Lord. The Bible says, "Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it..." (Psalms 127:1)

Why should there be church growth.

1.Reach the masses
Give knowledge and platform for repentance which sets his people free from yokes. With the saving message of Christ, "...not desiring any to perish, but all to come to repentance" (2 Pet. 3:9).

2.The great commission
To obey and fulfill the great commision. We are all commanded as a church to go and "...make disciples" (Matt. 28:19). Not only does God want persons to be saved, but He wants them to be discipled into spiritually mature believers who will carry on ministry — this requires the environment of the church . The believer is taught the word, has the guidance and correction of spiritual authority, and through worship and fellowship, will develop spiritual virtues, including a deeper love for God and others.

3.Joining to a local body of believers
Just as they were in the early church. "...the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved" (Acts 2:47).

How to grow the church.

1.Emulating and Lifting Christ up in our message and lifestyle, Church needs to concentrate on its main objective, to live Jesus and preach Jesus. During His earthly ministry, there was no Watsapp,no tik tok,Instagram, tweeter,LinkedIn etc But Christ never had a problem drawing a crowd. Therefore, if Jesus is effectively personified in the church, by His presence will have the same drawing power to bring souls to His church. Growth is not really the primary goal, but is the natural derivative of lifting up Jesus Christ. "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself" (John 12:32).

Therefore Profile when a church begins to absorb and emulate the character of Jesus, it will exhibit the qualities and climate that naturally lend toward growth.

2.Bearing fruits as a church
My observations are,;
"the seeds for growth are in the fruit." In other words, it is a fact of nature that within the fruit of each species (such as mangos, avocado, peaches or grapes), there are seeds that will yield the offspring of future harvests. Similarly, the character of spiritual fruit in the church bears spiritual seed that contributes toward the harvest of souls. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control" (Gal. 5:22-23). Spiritual fruit is the loving, sweet personality of Jesus that warms the heart. Therefore, development of the spiritual character of the church contributes toward church growth.

SprituaI Fruits ;
(a) Love — a genuine care for other people.
(b) Commitment — a deep sense of direction and purpose.
(c) Openness — to new people and new ideas.
(d) Unity — respect for, and harmony with the team.
(e) Flexibility — willingness to make changes when needed.
(f) Vision — an attitude and expectancy for growth.

3.Influence of friends and relatives.
Most common misconception that church growth comes as a result of the wonderful preaching and warm personality of the ministers or the visitation programs, conducting great crusades etc All these are good and have their value, however statistics show that the reason for increased numbers originates from influence of friends or relative.

The percentage from a church research below shows reasons people attended church for;

2.0% ..... Due to a special Need
3.0% ..... Just walked in
6.0% ..... Because of the Pastor's influence
1.0% ..... In response to visitation from the Church
5.0% ..... Due to interest in Sunday School
0.5% ..... In response to a special crusade
3.0% ..... Because of interest in a particular program
79.0% ..... From the influence of a friend or relative

The Glue of Church Growth — It's one thing to get people to come to church, and it's quite another to get them to stay. The assimilation of individuals into the church is probably the most important element to growth. Generally speaking, the two great reasons why persons stick in a church are;
(1) Relationship bonds, &
(2)Task or role of service that provides a sense of purpose.Finding ways to help people develop relationships in the church, and getting them involved in its ministries will help to stop the revolving door tendency, and result in a growing adherence to the church.
It is believed that these two church adhesives are best developed in the environment of a condensed sub group, sometimes referred to as a "cell." The smaller climate better enables people to get to know each other and develop "relationship bonds," something that's not very easy in a larger setting. And in the smaller group, everyone is able to be used in their gift or a special "role of service," something not always possible when there are many gifted people in a large church. In some churches, Sunday School classes or other specific groups for youth, men or women fulfill the need for such cell groups. Other churches use a concept of home groups, where small gatherings meet for fellowship and ministry. It is a truth that for a church to grow larger, it must also grow smaller at the same time.

Some barriers to church growth.
• Not Ready to Expand.
• Not Enough Space.
• Communication Issues.
• Resistance to Change.
• Encouraging Attendance.
• Retaining New Congregants.

Some Nuggets on church growth
1.Remain transparent about your plans. There’s often temptation to hide news that are unpopular among church members. However, transparency will help you retain the trust of your congregation, even when you give them news they may not like. In the long-run, transparent communication is always better.

2.Give members a voice to raise divergent views and critic.Another challenging habit in church during growth is trying to silence complaints. Don’t yield to this behaviour. Listen to your unhappy members. They may have a different perspective to take into consideration that will make the church growth process even smoother.

3.Give advance notice on upcoming events as members have made prior schedules .Use all communication techniques to give advance notice of the upcoming actions your church will take. Tell everyone about upcoming ahead of time to give them more time to adjust to the small changes.

4.Remind them of when the church began. Many of the older congregants who remember the founding of the church will also remember experiencing this same kind of growth when it was young. Remind them of the excitement of this time and of how much the church family has grown since then. This testimony of the church reminds them of its purpose.

5.Ask for help and prayers. It is humbling when a church leader asks for help and prayers from church It Help your congregants realize the important part they play in church growth process. They can donate time for prayer, money, or a helping hand in all times

Wish you well Miraculous Light and Pastor Mubazi & Team as you impact the world.

JB Sunday Reflections.

THE WORLD CUP & ITS LIFE LESSONS.

The ongoing FIFA World cup is such a thrill that even the less ardent soccer enthusiast gets their rusty soccer passions aroused and brought to life.

However apart from just getting thrilled and entertained.Once all is done and finished we have alot to learn from it that we ought to reflect on and implement in our lives to to make better life decisions for better quality of life.

In my Sunday reflections this time i dwell on the values and lessons that World cup soccer can instill our lives. Please read through and try to have them executed in your life.
But before I Indulge you in the lessons.

I give you a few highlights of ;

World Cup history.
1930 FIFA president Jules Rimet organized the 1st World Cup won by Uruguay.

Reason for starting World Cup was because the Olympics, had excluded football from the programme because it was not popular in the US and other disagreements.
Many teams had turned down attending because of the costly trip Rimet persuaded Belgium, France, Romania, Hungary and Yugoslavia who joined. And it was successfull.
Next was in 1934 which was better Egypt became the first African team to compete. I attach 2 photos of the 1st Winning Uruguay Team and the First WC trophy and current one with some facts.

Don't give up on your dreams.
There is a silver lining on every cloud.
If Jules Rinet of FIFA gave up because Olympics had turned down football. Probably World Cup wouldn't be there today. Despite the reluctance by many teams to attend the 1st World Cup he never gave up but persuaded them and they joined. No wonder the firs world cup trophy was called the Jules Rinet trophy

Talent alone won't guarantee success unless it's backed with Hard Work and effort.
Many talented players make a good start but can't cope with demands of playing.Constant training, camps, foregoing other pleasures, loyalty etc Same if you want success in all life areas Working hard, and smart is a must.I have seen many talented people fail responsibility or get stuck in profession
,career, ministry because of wrong attitude or they don't put in the effort required to go to next level.

Discipline.
You can't reach a level of playing in world cup if you are not disciplined. Exercise regularly, practice, and stick to a diet etc.
If you are to achieve your goals you should be disciplined as a footballer it will stop you from quitting.

Failing is not the end but part of life.
Every team knows that winning is not an every day event. There are always bad days, even in the most successful teams.
Recently German a strong Team was beaten by Japan to a shock of many.More so Germany didnt even qualify to the 16.
The lesson here is that failure will come someday. You have to take it in and learn how to avoid the what caused it in the future. One commentator said yesterday. Everyone is an underdog until they see sucess

To Perfect anything you have to practice.
Footballers get better by practicing. They do many trainings more than the real matches played.
Lesson is If you want to improve, in any area of your life you have to continously practice. Prepare in advance ,commit to working weak points and be consistent.

You may loose by taking risk. But you can win big by doing same.
I have seen small team win over a bigger team.I saw Saudi Arabia win Argentina Unbelievable! Or Sagio Manne of Senegal with is humble background and has reached such high profiles.Such fates are impossible if these didn’t take the risk.
The lesson is regardless of your background.Get out of your comfort zone and chase your dreams.Dont fear!!Take the plunge.

To succeed you need others.
In football teamwork is a high value skill.
And so in life too. Seek help from others who can do better, support those who need your hand you can't do everything as one person. You have areas you are good in but others are better than you in other areas.

Life is unpredictable anything can happen anytime.
In football you can get an injury from nowhere out of the blue that can end your playing career.
Lesson is even in our lives anything can happen that changes your life forever. You should be aware of that always value what you have and be grateful for it. Plan for a the bad day , your finances just in case you encounter a loss or misfortune.

Nothing is permanent.
Players experience high success for only a few years. And their playing career doesn’t last a lifetime. New great players come up , and older players have to exit.We have seen big names Beckam,Maradona,Abed Pele 3 World Cup appearance hero painfully under going Last part of life palliative care.
LIfe lesson is whatever point you are now is not permanent so always forecast and look ahead.

Success is blury without Accountability.
Footballers are accountable to teammates and their coach. The coach also to the team manager etc. This accountability is good because players don’t want to fail the team or the coach.

In life It is important to be accountable to yourself- or an accountability partner you chose and trust. This will keep you on track to avoid any diversions.

Lastly.
“No person has the power to have everything they want, but it is in their power not to want what they don’t have, and to cheerfully put to good use what they do have.

Finally.
Put God at the centre of it all.I have seen even feared players like Messi and many others glorifying and looking up to God in moments of victory and engagement. We can try to do things in our capacities but without God its all in vain

Have a nice Week a head as you enjoy the Matches. Please share your predictions for the World Cup Winner 2022

JB Sunday Reflections.

"The Best or Nothing"
Lessons from the Mercedes Benz Sucess story.

4 years before they celebrate their century of spinning sucess in quality production of automobile that has dominated the world in automobiles.

While in Germany for other business .I was convicted to visit the home town of Mercedes Benz in Stuttgart Germany. The best place to get the full sucess story was none other than the Mercedes Museum standing on several floors.

There is alot to share. But for today it's about the lessons from this success . How have they managed to sustain business over the years consistently ,innovating, producing quality and impacting the globe.

Brief facts;
Mercedes-Benz , is a German luxury and commercial vehicle established in 1926 headquartered in Stuttgart,Germany.Produces consumer luxury vehicles and commercial vehicles.

Car was named by Jellinek after his daughter, Mercédès Jellinek, whose Spanish name translated to “mercy.” The company later went on to have the “Mercedes” name trademarked 1902

The brand heritage that spans more than 130 years, synonymous with excellence, elegance, and innovation. Since Carl Benz introduced the "Motorwagen" in 1886.

Mercedes-Benz started from humble beginnings and quickly grew into one of the largest in the automotive industry. Because the brand is focused on innovation and is constantly finding new ways to improve the lives of their customers.

Facts About Mercedes Benz
• Over 100 Years of Innovation.
• The first Automobile was a Mercedes.
• The First Motorwagen was Stolen.
• Mercedes Made a Hybrid in 1906.
• Mercedes' were the First to Have Brakes on all Four Wheels.
• Mercedes was First to Implement Crumple Zones.
• Antilock Brakes were Created by Mercedes.

Mercedes-Benz logo
It is a star's with 3 points .These represent land, sea, and air — environments the company believed they would one day dominate with Mercedes-Benz engines.

Lessons to emulate;

Consistent with quality.
Long-term success demands quality consistently.
Anything less will reveal itself sooner rather than later and that lack of quality will undermine and eventually destroy any chance for success.

Innovation is a must
However successful you are
Innovation translates to continued improvement and increased relevance for your brand. Innovate or stagnate. Maintaining the status quo is a risky decision
The love of inventing never dies" - Carl.
Complacency is an enemy of success.

Taking risks – wisely –
Mercedes Benz has undergone some reorganisations now and then, Daimler,Chrysler,AMG etc for business continuity. To build your brand you must take calculated risks – the key is knowing whether to continue the old way or make changes to fit the current times and stay Competitive and profitable.

Set standards and philosophy of your beliefs and align them to the bottom.Let them be the culture and exhibited in everything done in the organisation. For example Benz Slogan stated at start."The best or nothing "This Leaves no room for mediocrity.

Carefully Selecting a committed and passionate Team.Mercedes invests alot in identifying and developing the right people for the right jobs who are also proud of their brand. This makes the Team custodians and great promoters of the brand.

Will share more lessons when another opportunity surfaces.
Have a nice week ahead.

Relations !! They start with communication, sustained with communication, are killed without communicating and are restored with communication.

Even when we know this why do we always want to disprove the notion? Is it ego, arrogance, power, control, pride whatever it is.Walking this path always has a price sometimes big price.

In case we want peace or are tired of paying the price of conflict. We need to listen to each other and take care of each others concerns.
You cant go in the negotiating room saying what is mine is mine and what is yours we negotiate.
You all have to put your concerns ,fears ,threats on the table.Gain some loose some..Thats called negotiation.

After all tomorrow we will need to work with each other. Its our human nature. We are social beings, interdependant,so its ok that sometimes others get out of their way to get attention. Now that you have it sit and talk. This brief notepad piece cuts accross business.diplomacy, families workplaces etc

Below is a quote for you my friend on negotiation when the going gets tough even when there seems to be no breakthrough.Dont quit hang in there and press on

"Conflict is good in a negotiation process... it's the clash of two ideas, which then, all being well, produces a third idea"

We pray for you Ukraine/Russia.May peace prevail
