⚽🤟 NATIONAL DEAF FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 – A HISTORIC EDITION! 🇺🇬

The Uganda Deaf Football Association (UDFA) is proud to have successfully hosted the National Deaf Football Championship 2026.

This year was special:

✅ 12 men’s teams competed
✅ 2 women’s teams participated for the first time in NDFC history

🏆 Men: Arua City Deaf SC 0–2 Nile Waves DFC
🥇 Champions: Nile Waves DFC
🥈 Runners-up: Arua City Deaf SC

🏆 Women: Giant Queen Deaf FC 1–0 Deaf Sisters FC

🌟 A HISTORIC FIRST!
This was the first-ever Deaf women’s club football competition in NDFC history.

Congratulations to Nile Waves DFC and Giant Queen Deaf FC! 👏🏆

UDFA sincerely thanks Hon. Ssewagudde Robert, Chief Guest, for honouring the championship with his presence and supporting Deaf football.

UDFA also appeals for Government support for the Uganda Deaf Cranes as they prepare to represent Uganda at DAFCON in Ethiopia, including support for transport, accommodation, training, equipment and other needs. 🇺🇬⚽🤟

We also thank UNAD, players, coaches, officials, organisers and supporters for making NDFC 2026 a success.

# # FUFA Supports National Deaf Football Championship 2026 ⚽🤟

A great boost for inclusive football!⚽

Uganda Deaf Football Association (UDFA) is pleased to announce the generous support from the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) towards the National Deaf Football Championship 2026.

Today, FUFA Deputy CEO Ampaire Sheba Ronah officially handed over Zakayo footballs to UDFA Vice President Ssenyonjo Jim Maurice at FUFA House.

The balls will support the National Deaf Football Championship, scheduled for 26th–29th August 2026 in Kampala.hosted by Sun City Deaf Football Club.

The championship, organised by UDFA, will bring together deaf football clubs from across Uganda to compete, connect, and promote the development of deaf football.

We sincerely appreciate FUFA for this valuable support and for championing its vision of football for all. This partnership demonstrates that football has the power to break barriers, promote inclusion, and create opportunities for everyone.

Together, we are building a more inclusive football family in Uganda. 🇺🇬⚽🤟

UDFA Board met already this afternoon too discuss the National importance for Deaf athletes.

Our main focus agenda which was discussed was the preparation to take Uganda Deaf Cranes to participate in the 1st DAFCON in Ethiopia.

Yesterday, we successfully held the Club Leaders' Meeting and Official Draw.

We would like to sincerely thank all the club leaders who attended and participated in the draw.

We also extend our appreciation to our special guest Mr. Joseph Akoli who represented the Uganda Deaf Sports Federation

The meeting was chaired by UDFA Vice President Mr. Ssenyonjo Jim Maurice together with the NDFC Host Coordinator Mr. Juuko Alex.
