Belinda’s love for basketball was inspired by her big sister Prosper, who would go with her during the elite team training sessions. At 15 years, she was drafted into the
Watoto Sports Academy elite girls’ team where she was given an opportunity to play in the FUBA developmental league.

Due to her outstanding performances, she was scouted by the national team coaches and called to represent the national team during the final round of the 2023 FIBA under 16 women’s African championship that was hosted in Tunisia this year in July.

Sports Academy takes a child's natural love of sports and teaches them to play at their best with support and guidance from coaches.

Last year, our coaches mentored over 600 children through our Sports Academy - helping them not only in the game, but also in life so they can become future leaders.

Today we celebrate Martha Nandutu one of the Watoto Sports Academy Alumni.

Martha was awarded a Full Basketball scholarship at Uganda Christian University Mukono.
