*Meet Coach Fred Muhumuza Araali*
The Tactical Mastermind Behind Vipers SC’s Rise in Ugandan Football
Fred Muhumuza Araali, a CAF A-licensed coach and Social Science (Economics) graduate from Makerere University, is the strategic force propelling Vipers SC to the top of Ugandan football. A former player with a rich and diverse career, Muhumuza showcased his talent at St. Leo's Kyegobe, Makerere University, SC Victors, SC Villa, and professionally with Hanoi FC in Vietnam. As captain of the now-defunct SC Victors, he led the team to two Uganda Cup titles.
Now, he has claimed his first major trophy as a professional coach, guiding Vipers SC to a 0-2 victory over Kitara FC to clinch the Startimes Uganda Premier League title, with one game still left to end the season.
Muhumuza’s coaching journey began with Edgar’s Youth Programme, and continued through key roles at St. Leo’s Kyegobe, Bumate FC, Tooro Province, URA FC, and as assistant coach for the Uganda Cranes, before rising to head coach at Vipers SC.
A proud son of Tooro, Fred Muhumuza Araali is more than a coach, he is the face of football in Tooro. A visionary leader, he is shaping the future of Ugandan football both on and off the pitch.
