AZOV SEA MARATHON 2013 (24/08/2013)
Marathon as planned, conducted in Independence Day of Ukraine - August 24, 2013. In the swim was attended by only seven swimmers (1 woman and 6 man) - it was due to the fact that the marathon was created and carried out in record time, in addition, many athletes were unable to attend because of a hard sports schedule. All participants themselves chose their lucky start number, so were:
1.Irina Ostrovskay, Mariupol, Ukraine, start number - "55";
2.Sergei Dotsenko, Zaporozhye, Ukraine, start number - "6";
3.Vladimir Revkov, Khartsyzk, Ukraine, start number - "27";
4.Anatoly Nikolchenko, Mariupol, Ukraine, start number - "5";
5.Nicholay Pastushkevich, Simferopol, Ukraine, start number - "19";
6.Vasily Gorobey, Simferopol, Ukraine, start number - "3";
7.Vadim Ilusсhenko, Donetsk, Ukraine, start number - "7".
The oldest participant - Sergei Dotsenko, at the time of the competition was 74 years old! Irina Ostrovskay - the only woman, who participated in the marathon.
Conditions at the start:
water temperature + 25 ° C;
sea state 2 to 3 points (on a scale of WMO);
temperature air + 30 ° C;
wind 5.0 - 6.0 m / s (north-west).
Venue (villages of Peschaniy and Rybatskoe).
The start was made from water, the finish was done on the beach.
Finished all 7 swimmer's of the Azov Sea marathon. All marathon participants were awarded with medals and diplomas. Gennadiy Prychyna (Race Director and co-organizer AZOV SEA MARATHON) held a award ceremony. Aleksandr Sidorenko (a Chief Referee AZOV SEA MARATHON) held awarding medals and diplomas a marathon participants.
