How hard it was this year!
For any competitions, there happens a moment, when it becomes significant and highly demanded. Someone is trying to reach this point for decades but we managed to do it in three years.
This year, probably everything turned out to be on the scales, including the future of the competition. On the one hand, there is a huge interest in the tournament from foreign guests, the strongest participants, probably for all the years of Independent Ukraine, incredible support from friends, colleagues, parents, sponsors and partners, and, on the other hand, WDSF expectations for the status of the competition to be confirmed, third-party internal contradictions, illnesses of the participants, problems with documents in a number of TOP pairs and in conclusion a crown-virus, multiple letters about closed flights four days before the start, canceled registrations, fear of traveling, etc. It certainly took a lot of effort and nerves to administer. We are very grateful to everyone who was not afraid and came to the competition, and we treat those who canceled their visit with understanding.
We thank entire teams from all regions of Ukraine, Moldova, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Turkey, Belarus, Georgia! We thank individual dancers, their trainers, parents: in total from 33 countries.
Special thanks to the whole team of my club DanceCenter Stardust Kyiv both to children and adults and to the whole team of Our Team Ukraine. Without you, all this would not have happened.
Who can do better - let him do better. Once again, we tried to give the country a high-quality dance holiday. Did we succeed? You decide.
P.S. The most sincere, probably, for me, was a call at the preparatory stage from one of the parents who had not been dancing for my club for a long time. They were not going to dance in the competition as well. But the words were as follows: "Sergey, I remember how hard it is. I want to help with the competition". If such people stay around me, then I am doing everything correctly!
With respect, Sergii Grytsak!
