Dear International Yacht Training Worldwide, we hope this letter finds you well.
We in Ukraine are now fighting for our freedom and lives against Russian aggression.
All of our sailors, even civilian, are involved in the defense of our country. This is the fight of the whole nation. Ukrainian schools are unable to continue working in the situation when the aggressor destroys our cities. There is no place for sailing now when the wind is bringing death to us, and Russian ballistic missiles are dropping from the skies.
You know that World Sailing has suspended participation of Russian and Belarussian athletes and officials in all World Sailing owned competitions and events. The same was made by Heineken Regatta, SB-20 class association etc.
In connection with Russia's military invasion of our country, we need your support in the fight against the aggressor.
On behalf of our school and all Ukrainian yachtsmen we ask you to revoke the licenses of all Russian and Belarusian IYT schools and to cancel all certificates issued by them.
We hope for your support. This war must be stopped by all possible means.
