The Tanzania Basketball Federation headed by President Hasheem Thabeet signed a memorandum of understanding with the United Arab Emirates Basketball Federation. The MOU included the exchange of experiences in the fields of coaching, refereeing and administrative development, as well as joint training programs for clubs and national teams, in addition to cooperation regarding participation in the Dubai International Basketball Championship.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Mr. Simon Mirondo, Deputy Secretary General of the Tanzania Basketball Federation, Dr. Munir bin Al-Habib, Technical Director of the Emirates Basketball Federation, and Mr. Ahmed Mubarak, Manager of the UAE National Team.
TBF President Hasheem Thabeet emphasized that this agreement represents an important step towards strengthening sports cooperation and sharing expertise between the two federations, contributing to the technical and administrative development of basketball in both countries.
The partnership also aims to open new horizons for cooperation in training, refereeing, and the development of administrative staff, alongside organizing camps and joint activities for clubs and national teams, which will positively impact the growth of basketball in Tanzania and the United Arab Emirates.
The Tanzania Basketball Federation extends its sincere appreciation to the Emirates Basketball Federation for their warm hospitality and commitment to building strong international basketball relations and developing the game globally.
