It was more by coincidence that Mr. X found these buildings. It is a connected complex consisting of several hotels. In the past, it must have been quite an attractive place. Today, however, it has been completely left to decay. This is related to the general development of domestic tourism in Taiwan.

Back in the Mines
It started with the idea of tracing the old road on Google Maps (Picture 1). It turned into 3 hours of wasted work with the machete. I had been tricked. A relatively large entrance made me assume there must have been a road. So I kept searching for wider sections, only to end up either at a cliff or nowhere at all. Only on the way back did I notice smaller paths above the original route (Picture 2). Unfortunately, the machete broke in the meantime.
While wandering across the terraces, I took a closer look at this beauty.
