本中心僅農曆除夕、初一不開放；如遇颱風..等天災，依照臺北市政府公告停止上班上課，不對外開放

在各行政區設置市民運動中心是台北市長馬英九主要政見之一，"信義運動中心"是台北市第12座開工市民運動中心，也是第八座完工的一座，其樓地板面積1,866.7275坪也是當中最小的。目前已經在2009年5月28日正式啟用，承包經營單位是中國青年救國團。
