The Arima Araucans Academy congratulates 15-year-old defender Jemarre Nixon who has been snapped up by US Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit, FC Cincinnati, to represent their youth team in the 2026 MLS Next Cup.
Jemarre, a composed, left-footed defender who can operate in central defence or at left back, trained with the Arima Araucans in 2024 and 2025. He is the son of Trinidad and Tobago’s 1991 Portugal Fifa U-20 World Cup forward Jerren Nixon, who played professionally in Scotland and Switzerland, and ex-Women’s National Senior Team defender Kathy-Ann Nixon.
Jemarre had several offers for his services before he chose the FC Cincinnati 2011 team. The Araucans wish him the very best this season!

Arima North Secondary football captain Jaquan Aguilleria and utility player Hasheem Hill bring the number of Dial Dynamos to accept scholarships in the United States to six in the past four years.
Aguilleria and Hill are both off to the University of South Carolina Lancaster, which is a NJCAA Division One university. In Aguilleria’s case, he leaves as a lower six student.
Both Aguilleria and Hill helped the Dial Dynamos to a historic national title in 2025, as Arima North defeated Fatima College in the semifinals and St Benedict’s College in the final—to cop the National Senior Division trophy.
The list of Dial Dynamos to take up US scholarships since the pandemic are: Justin Modeste, Akil Henry, Theron O’Brien, Ability Hazel, Hill and Aguilleria.
Another two Arima North footballers were offered US scholarships but were unable to take them up due to student visa complications while two more were offered scholarships at UTT with Jaydon Critchlow going on to shine there.
Hill was a gifted utility player, elegant on the ball with a fierce shot and equally adept in defence or midfield. Aguilleria, a fine passer, fierce tackler and unmatchable in the air, was quite simply the best left-sided Arima defender of his generation.
We wish them both the very best!

The Arima North Secondary football programme congratulates fourth form student Cristiano Hinds for his role in helping QPCC FC to promotion from the TTPFL Tier Two to Tier One—the highest domestic level in Trinidad and Tobago.
Hinds, who turned 17 last month, played from the start on Saturday evening as QPCC whipped Central Sports World 6-0 at the Larry Gomes Stadium, to pull clear of third place Carnbee/ Mt Pleasant FC in the promotion race.

The Arima Araucans Academy got our second win of the season in the Under-15 Division of the National Youth League (NYL) today, as we downed Creek SCC 3-1 in Maloney.
The young Araucans produced a good passing display on the uneven surface and a fine collective performance to go three goals clear, before Creek pulled a goal back in the second half.
Midfielder Darian Marcano opened the scoring with a shot from the edge of the penalty box, after a pinpoint pass from Za’kai Parks.
His cousin Janio Marcano doubled our advantage from a direct free kick, while captain Javan Smith got our third off a Jerrel Hackshaw corner.
It was a good performance from our boys against an energetic, organised Creek team. Smith, Darian Marcano and Joshua Bristol helped dominate the midfield area for most of the first half while Parks and wingers Tashawn Preddy and Jaydon Simmons both impressed.
However, our man of the match for his composure and decision making in possession and hard work off the ball was midfielder Jerrel Hackshaw.
Congrats again to the entire team!
