📢 TRAINING OPPORTUNITY – CERT & SHELTER MANAGEMENT
The Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, through Disaster Management, is inviting persons who are interested in receiving training in Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Shelter Management.
🔹 CERT Training
This training prepares citizens to assist as community first responders during emergencies and local hazards such as floods, landslides, earthquakes, and other disasters.
🔹 Shelter Management Training
This training prepares community members, Village Councils, and local leaders to assist with the safe and effective operation of temporary emergency shelters during times of disaster.
📌 If you are interested in participating, please place contact Laura Sieunarine -Petertkin 393 7448.
👥 Once we have a minimum of 15 interested persons, further information will be provided regarding the dates and arrangements for the training.
📚 The training is expected to last at least five days, and a certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the training.
This is a valuable opportunity for members of our community to gain knowledge, practical skills, and preparedness that can help us better respond to emergencies and assist our community when needed.
Let us work together to build a stronger, safer, and better-prepared community.

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAYS

Life is not always about who gets there first. Sometimes, the greatest victory belongs to the person who simply refuses to give up.

There will be moments when the journey becomes difficult, when the road seems longer than expected, and when you may feel as though others are moving ahead of you. But remember: your pace does not determine your worth, and your struggles do not define your destination.

“The race is not for the swiftest, but for those that can endure to the end.”

So, keep moving forward. Take your time when you need to. Rest when necessary, but never surrender your purpose. Every step, no matter how small, brings you closer to where you are meant to be.

As individuals and as a community, let us learn to encourage one another, support one another, and celebrate progress—not just perfection. We all have different journeys, different challenges, and different starting points, but with determination, patience, faith and perseverance, we can continue to move forward.

This Monday, don’t worry about being ahead of everyone else. Focus on staying in the race.

Keep believing.
Keep building.
Keep pushing.
And most importantly—keep going.

Because sometimes, the person who endures the longest is the one who ultimately crosses the finish line.
