Nobody tells you this part. You can build strength for years and lose a chunk of it in a 2-week holiday.

That’s not failure. That’s just how it works.
Muscle isn’t a savings account. It’s rent.
Paid in consistent effort, due on a rolling basis.

Miss a payment here and there? Fine. Life happens.
Stop paying altogether? The landlord (your body) takes it back. No warning, no grace period.

This is why “I got in shape once” isn’t a real sentence. You don’t arrive. You don’t graduate.
There’s no version of this where you’re done.

That’s not depressing. It’s freeing.
