Shift Contemporary Dance Company Dance school and performance company based in San Fernando, Trinidad.

SHIFT CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY (SCDC) was founded in 2015 by Trinbagonian dance artist and educator Jillene Forde as a vehicle for providing personalised technical training, artistic development and performance opportunities to dancers of all ages, backgrounds and skillsets. SCDC provides weekly training sessions in Contemporary and Ballet dance in a safe, professional and student-centered envir

onment. SCDC students are also afforded yearly performance opportunities in highly acclaimed local and regional productions such as the Caribbean Choreographers Collective (COCO) Dance Festival and the Caribbean Festival of the Arts (CARIFESTA).

​In response to the COVID19 pandemic, SCDC successfully transitioned from in-studio training to a dynamic online dance education platform. With its new digital format and highly personalised teaching method, SCDC is poised to fulfil its commitment to providing technical training and artistic development to all its students.

📢📢📢 SCDC HAS MOVED!!!
The "new normal" will require us to dance while maintaining a level of physical distance that our Duncan Village studio could no longer accommodate so... WE'VE MOVED!!!
We are so grateful for all the moves and memories we shared with all of you in our old studio but we are EXCITED to create new ones in our new space once Covid is no longer a threat. Til then, we will continue to SHIFT in our ONLINE classes!
