What do the guys in the back of a 4-man sled get up to? 🤔🇹🇹

It's a commonly asked question, but not many people know! So, this is what our team do to pass the time once we're loaded in and most of their job is over! 👀🤷

Other than that it's holding on and hoping the pilot doesn't crash (and the steering stays in one piece of course! 😂)

Our 4-man journey ended abruptly, and not at all how anyone planned. 😟🇹🇹

But, it was no one's fault, just a stroke of incredibly bad luck at maybe the worst possible time. A fluke accident, a stripped thread out of a solid block of aluminium rendered us without steering, and without a hope of making it down. 😞

Axel tried to salvage something. He tried reaching for a cable in case it was the D ring slipped.🤷 He tried kicking the steering pillar incase it was the cable that went. 🤷 But the nature of this break was that there was nothing I could have done. Certainly not at 94kph round a corner.

Though there isn't blame, we're sorry to everyone involved that it ended this way, it's just a shame and that's all there is to it really. The crash may not be the fairytale ending, but up to that point, these games absolutely have been, and taking to the ice yesterday was already national and international history. 🇹🇹

We ended on a strong training with very good speeds. So hopefully we can bring a strong start and drive at the top of the track and turn that into a good time!

Everyone is excited, proud, and anxious to go and do our absolute best! 💪

The team of Axel, Shak, Xaverri, and De Aundre will take to the ice tomorrow at 10:00 EU time.

Every athlete knows that getting a new wave of kit is a special moment. It makes you feel valued, unified, and properly part of the team. At the Olympics, it means even more. It marks the moment when all the work becomes real. Qualification is done, we’re going to the Olympics, and now we finally look the part too.

QUALIFIED for Milan Cortina 2026 🇹🇹

In a historic first, Trinidad & Tobago have qualified both the 2-man AND 4-man bobsleigh for the Winter Olympics Games in Milan Cortina.🇮🇹🌍

The team of Axel Brown, Shakeel John, De Aundre John, Xaverri Williams, and Micah Moore, with coach Lee Johnston ranked T&T in the top 17 nations in the world, earning them a spot at the biggest event in sports. 🇹🇹

A mixed weekend of racing to finish off our Olympic Bid! These were the last two races for us before the deadline, so the writing is on the wall now! Over to everyone else to see if they can do what's needed!

Another successful pair of races in Lake Placid! 🏅

The team came into this race with only THREE runs EVER at this track in 4-man!! 😅 So winning another extended podium medal was a huge accomplishment. 🏅

The whole team feels in a very strong position as a unit, with all combinations of brakemen putting down competitive times. 👏🏼 Just 2 more races to go, and our Olympic fate will be decided. So that's two more races of pure focus at what is arguably the hardest track in the world, to make dreams a reality. 🌎

6th place in a snowy Lake Placid! ❄️🏅🇹🇹

Shak and Axel took on Lake Placid in the 2-man and walked away with an extended podium of 6th place. It all adds to this season's medal haul! 🏅

24hrs after and Axel narrowly missed out, with 7th place. 🤏🏼

Both of these results are good for the team, this is arguably the most technical track in the world, and most of the field has extensive experience here. We haven't completed here since our Olympic Campaign in 2021. So, to be in the mix, and where we need to be for Olympic qualification so far feels good. 4 more races here in the next 7 days! 😅

Axel and Dre took 2nd place in the 2-man bobsleigh North American Cup in Park City. A historic best for Trinidad and Tobago.

Even better is that in 1st was Jamaica, leading to a first EVER Caribbean 1,2, in the sport of bobsleigh! 🥇🥈🇹🇹🇯🇲 What an incredible achievement for two nations without any snow!!
