YOUR ROLE AS A PARENT IN FAMILY SCOUTING.
Parent involvement varies depending on the program, time and ages of your daughter and son Scouts.
Direct engagement with your children is highest in scouting, as involvement of the whole family in scout meetings, activities and events.
There are ways we can help our children at all scouting sections which includes:
1. Show an interest in your son's/daughter's scouting activities, accomplishments and achievements.
2. Recognize their successes and the learning along the way in scouting.
3. Make certain scouting adventures, family events; taking part together in scout meetings, troop meeting, parent support team's meeting.
4. Help your child advance through the advancement and proficiency, whether by working together on awards or support them with scouting skills.
5. Take part in outdoor adventures together.
6. Be an adult partner for scout camp; join other scouting families when ever possible.
7. Support your child's volunteer services, community services etc.
Childhood flies by! Take the time now to build memories you'll cherish the rest of your lives.
