What a weekend, Jannai! 🥇 First place in the Boys 15-17 division at the 30th Goodwill Swimming Championships, with seven golds across the 100 Free, 200 Free, 100 Back, 100 Fly, and all three relays. Add silver in the 50 Back and bronze in the 50 Free and 200 IM.

Then the record book: 100 Freestyle, 400 Medley, 200 Medley, and 200 Freestyle. Four new records in one meet.

Ethan came to compete! 🥇 Four golds at the 30th Goodwill Swimming Championships: 100 Free, 200 Free, and both the 400 and 200 Medley Relays plus silver in the 50 Free and the 200 Freestyle Relay. He also helped set a new record in the 400 Medley Relay and placed 3rd in the Boys 11-12 division.

One of our youngest Marlins came through! 🥈🥉 Jesse took silver in the 200 Medley Relay and bronze in both the 200 Freestyle Relay and the 100 IM, and finished 7th in the Boys 8 & Under group at the 30th Goodwill Swimming Championships.

Three relay and individual medals and a top-10 finish in your age group. Keep swimming, Jesse — we're proud of you! 💛🖤

Dax showed up strong! 🥇 Gold in the 400 and 200 Medley Relays at the 30th Goodwill Swimming Championships, silver in a nail-biting 200 IM and 200 Freestyle Relay, and bronze in the 200 Free and 100 Fly. He was part of the record-setting 400 Medley Relay and finished 5th in the Boys 11-12 division.

Chloe-Mari did it all! 🥇 Second place in the Girls 9-10 division at the 30th Goodwill Swimming Championships, with medals across every stroke. Gold in the 200 IM and both medley relays, silver in the 100 and 200 Free, and bronze in the 100 Back, 100 Breast, 100 Fly, and 200 Freestyle Relay.

Nine medals in one meet and a podium finish overall. We're proud of you! 💛🖤

🏊🏽‍♀️ Congratulations, Zahara Anthony! 🇹🇹

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs proudly congratulates Zahara Anthony on her outstanding performance at the 2026 ASATT National Age Group Short Course Swimming Championships.

At just 12 years old, Zahara made history by breaking the 35-year-old national record in the 200m Freestyle, becoming the youngest swimmer to break one of Trinidad and Tobago’s longest-standing swimming records.

Your dedication, talent and determination continue to inspire a nation. Congratulations on this incredible achievement, and we wish you continued success in the pool!

Trinidad & Tobago named its squad for the 30th Goodwill Swimming Championships, and six of them train in Marlins lanes. That is what being a stroke ahead looks like.

Congratulations Zahara!

🇹🇹 🥇 Zahara Anthony breaks longstanding 200m Freestyle National Record! ⏱️ 🏊🏽‍♀️💨

The 35-year-old national record held by former Olympian, Siobhan Cropper, in the 11-12 girls’ 200m freestyle, was erased by a blistering performance by Zahara Anthony, representing Marlins, as she wrote her name into history at the Aquatics Sports Association of T&T (ASATT) National Age-Group Short Course Swimming Championship 🙌🏾

The competition took place at the National Aquatic Centre in Couva over the weekend, where 12-year-old Anthony smashed the former mark of two minutes 11:86 seconds set by Cropper in April 1991, when she stopped the clock at 2:11:25 ✨

Bluefin Aquatics' Serenity Pantin secured silver in the event with her time of 2:23.15 while RWB Aquatics Academy's Katelon Leera copped bronze in 2:28.27 🥈🥉

Anthony also won the 11-12 girls' 200m Individual Medley title in 2:38.64 with Pantin securing second again in 2:43.01 and Leera grabbing another third-place finish in 2:49.94 🥇

However, in the 100m backstroke, Pantin (1:10.44) got the better of Anthony (1:12.93) and Genesis Marchin of Target Aquatics as she came third in 1:15.58 💪🏽

Zahara is the youngest of the Anthony sibling swimmers with Zoe and Zachary paving the way, over the last decade, for her to showcase her success in the pool 👍🏾

RWB Aquatic Academy's Micah Alexander backed up his four wins by adding four more gold medals in the 11-12 boys' 100m backstroke (1:05.60), 200m individual medley (2:30.50) and 200m freestyle (2:11.41), before sharing his fourth title, with Kamden Williams of Blue Dolphins in the 50m breaststroke, as they both touched the wall in 34.73 seconds 🥇🥇🥇🥇

Marlins' Marena Martinez also added to her medal haul with three more wins in the 100m backstroke (1:10.86), 200m freestyle (2:13.41) and 200m individual medley (2:37.85) 🥇🥇🥇

This year’s championships served as the final qualifier for athletes seeking to participate in the 30th Goodwill Swimming Championships, with the national team to be selected during the week 📋✅

The Goodwill meet will be hosted by ASATT at the National Aquatic Centre from August 14-16 📆
