💎💎💎 IN THE MATURA RIVER....

The trek starts off on an old logging road, bound on both sides, with PINE, MORA, and OLIVIERE TREES.

A few short and manageable inclines as we start, but tapers off to almost a flat surface with canopy cover for most of the way.

After 45mins we take a trial on our left and start to descend for about 15mins and is GREETED by the FIRST OF THREE POOLS, you put on our swim gear and the rest is up to you!!!

⚠️ NOTICE:

This is not a prepaid registration event! However we encourage pre-registration as hike do have a limit of person that can be accommodated. Walk-ins may not be guaranteed a spot. To secure your spot ,feel free to pre-register by phone, WhatsApp, Messenger, or IG Direct, for this event.

In the interest of safety, Life Jackets are typically *MANDATORY* and will be provided. Hikers in possession of their own may also bring them along.

DESCRIPTION:

A hike for all Water Lovers! Our journey begins along a wide, largely uncovered, dirt trail bordered by tall trees and lush vegetation on either side. The road, straight for the most part, undulates with patches of light shade for about 45 mins before we descend SOAPY HILL, then into the tributary for 30mins that will bring you into the Matura River.

Here we fasten our life jackets and immerse ourselves into the first ...MYSTIC POOL, then we go further downstream into BLU- POOL, and enjoy other fun-filled gorges as we continue walking and wading further downstream to complete the circuit.

We don our land legs once more to make the short uphill trek to the open dirt trail - our minds and hearts however, still lingering behind in the river...

DESCRIPTION:

Just as darkness starts to pull back its covers to reveal the new day, we quietly journey down the Caroni River to the roosting site of our resplendent national bird, the Scarlet Ibis. Here, in the crisp morning air, we watch the flock lift off against the backdrop of the rising sun. A spectacular sight to behold!

We then continue our tour down the river, and watch the swamp wake up with glimpses of flamingos, ant eaters, reptiles, and other birds.

A snack box and drink will be provided.
