This is a photograph that I will treasure. Two of my life stories that I love telling is when Joey Ng Wai got me to consider song writing and playing the guitar and when I went to a Peter W Shim at the 101 Art Gallery many years ago. A simple phone call to Joey in August 2020 asking him to help me to figure out if I had a hearing problem, set a visit to his studio and him planting a seed that has me now being hired as an music entertainer proudly playing my original music in just over one year.
Peter is the reason I strive for detail in my artwork,, which has also spilled over into my other endeavors. I was introduced to Peter by the late Mark Pereira and since then I paint with a magnifying glass. My art has helped me travel the world as a cyclist representing T&T. It also helped fund my efforts in organizing the revival and support of cycling events since 1997, as well as many other good things. Recently Peter and I started playing music and performing live together. One day I’ll be on a stage with both him and Joey.
