The Brazilian Embassy in Ankara invites you to the “Capoeira Te Chama III” belt ceremony and Capoeira, to be held on Saturday, April 11th at the Batıkent Sports Complex.
The event is organized by the “Muzenza Türkiye” capoeira group with the support of the Brazilian Embassy and the Ankara Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports , and is open to the public. In addition to the Capoeira demonstrations, the event will also include a batizado ceremony and belt exchange for Capoeiristas.
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian cultural expression that combines martial arts, dance, music, and play, and is considered part of Brazil’s cultural heritage. Created by enslaved Africans in Brazil, this art emerged as a form of resistance and cultural preservation by concealing martial movements within rhythmic gestures.
