This is Sione Taliai Taufa, the former captain of the champion Sila Pelu Ua team and current number 8 of the Kolomotua Eagles. He is 46 years young and has been playing Senior top rugby since 1995!! Way before most of his team mates were even born. His longevity is due to his fitness and tough attitude of never giving up, that most hear but not see. Toughness personified, Taliai will be playing for the Niua team in the up coming TRU Centenary tournament representing his ancestors from the Niuas. A talented player, an inspiring team mate, a great leader, but best of all a fantastic father.....he is a LOCAL HERO!
