Before learning how to hit the ball far, learn how to hit it solid first.
Everybody always wants to hit the ball far, adding the swing speed is important to add the distance. However, it is also important to hit the ball solid and make better impact. Many people try to swing fast but then end up not hitting the ball solid so they are not making a better distance.
You need to learn to get the proper and efficient move of the swing to hit the ball solid. From that point you will improve by either adding the range of the motion or speed of the motion to add up the speed and also be able to strike the ball solid. Eventually, you will be able swing faster and hit the ball greater distance.
