คำว่า ซากูระ Sukura กล่าวถึงพืชที่อยู่ในสกุล Prunus โดยนางพญาเสือโคร่งเป็นหนึ่งในสกุลนั้น โดยมีชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ว่า Prunus cerasoides ขณะที่ในประเทศญี่ปุ่นมีซากูระอยู่หลากหลายพันธุ์ โดยพันธุ์ที่พบมากสุดคือ โซะเมโยะชิโนะ 染井野 (somei-yoshino)ในชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ว่า Prunus × yedoensis

นางพญาเสือโคร่งแตกต่างจากซะกุระที่ญี่ปุ่นคือมีช่วงเวลาการออกดอกต่างกันคือ นางพญาเสือโคร่งออกดอกในเดือนธันวาคม -กุมภาพันธ์ ซึ่งเป็นช่วงฤดูหนาว ส่วนซากูระในญี่ปุ่นออกดอกช่วงเดือนมีนาคม-เมษายน ซึ่งเป็นช่วงฤดูใบไม้ผลิของญี่ปุ่น และมีการสันนิษฐานว่า นางพญาเสือโคร่งและซากูระมีบรรพบุรุษร่วมกันทางตอนใต้ของจีน และวิวัฒนาการออกไปจนมีสายพันธุ์มากมาย มีสีที่หลากหลาย
การจำแนกสายพันธุ์อย่างกว้าง นางพญาเสือโคร่งมีชื่ออย่างเป็นทางการว่า Wild Himalayan Cherry หมายถึงPrunusที่มีถิ่นกำเนิดในเอเชียทางตอนใต้ ตั้งแต่ประเทศไทยไปจนถึงเทือกเขาหิมาลัยในประเทศอินเดีย ส่วนซากูระถูกจำแนกเป็น Cherry blossom หมายถึง Prunusที่มีถิ่นกำเนิดในเอเชียทางตอนเหนือ ตั้งแต่ประเทศจีน, เกาหลี ไปจนถึงประเทศญี่ปุ่นและรัสเซียในเขตไซบีเรีย ดังนั้นพวกเธอทั้งสองจึงเป็นเครือญาติกัน สำคัญที่สุดต่างงดงามในแบบตัวต้นของตัวเองอย่างเท่าเทียม

Although they are from different regions and locations, they are related.

The word "Sakura" refers to plants in the genus Prunus, with Himalayan cherry blossom being one of them, scientifically named Prunus cerasoides. In Japan, there are many varieties of sakura, the most common being Somei Yoshino. Somei-yoshino, scientifically known as Prunus × yedoensis,

The Thai cherry blossom (Prunus cerasoides) differs from Japanese cherry blossoms (Sakura) in its flowering period. Thai cherry blossoms bloom from December to February, during the winter months, while Japanese cherry blossoms bloom from March to April, during Japan's spring. It is hypothesized that Thai cherry blossoms and Japanese cherry blossoms share a common ancestor in southern China and have evolved into numerous varieties with diverse colors.
Broadly speaking, the Thai cherry blossom, officially known as Wild Himalayan Cherry, refers to Prunus species native to southern Asia, from Thailand to the Himalayas in India. Sakura, on the other hand, is classified as Cherry blossom, referring to Prunus species native to northern Asia, from China and Korea to Japan and Siberia in Russia. Therefore, both are related, and most importantly, equally beautiful in their own way.

まばゆいばかりに美しく、まさに貴重な存在です。

桜の花は、あまりにも美しく、だからこそ私はここに来たのです。

多くの人がそれを見たいと願っています。

通り過ぎるのを待ちわびて、その美しさを堪能します。

ฝนตกเมื่อคืนนี้
ช่อม่วงพวงครามแทงช่อเล็ก ๆ หลายวันแล้ว อากาศ 2-3 วันที่ผ่านมาร้อนยิ่ง อีสาน ไทลาว เรียก มันฮ้อน อ้าวคัก
บางพื้นที่ทราบว่า มีพายุฤดูร้อนพัดกระหน่ำจนเสียหาย
กทม.(กลางทุ่งมหาสารคาม) ปรากฎวันก่อน ฝนรินเบา ๆ แต่ไม่พอคลายร้อนได้
แต่เมื่อคืนนี้ได้การณ์ยิ่ง ฝนมาเยอะพอควรยาวนานที่พอทนได้ ความเย็นฉ่ำจึงคืบคลาน ความร้อนอบอ้าวก็หายไปชั่วขณะ
เช้ามา ช่อม่วงพวงคราม จึงพากันแทงช่อเริงร่าตอนรับฝนใหม่
ธรรมชาติจึงมีวิถีของเขา เราจึงเฝ้าดูเพื่อเรียนรู้จากเขานั้นเอง

This was a game of pride between the two nations, with neither side willing to give an inch. From the start of the game, Scotland planned well and performed better than England. The Thai women's rugby sevens retained their title as champions of the SEA 7s 2026 tournament, while the Malaysian men's rugby team reclaimed the championship, resulting in the Thai men's rugby team narrowly finishing as runners-up.

Results of the SEA 7s 2026 rugby sevens final at the National Stadium, Singapore:

The first match was the women's final between Thailand and Malaysia.
In the first round, the Thai women's rugby team defeated Malaysia 55-0,
defeated Laos 64-0, and defeated Singapore 38-0. Malaysia, on the other hand, lost to Thailand 0-55, defeated Singapore 26-19, and defeated Laos 36-7.
This resulted in Thailand and Malaysia meeting again in the final today.
And the Thai women's rugby team did not disappoint, successfully retaining the SEA 7s championship for another year by defeating Malaysia 39-0 (27-0 at halftime). They won the championship without conceding a single point, just like at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand. This was a rematch between the perennial rivals Thailand and Malaysia.
This competition came after Malaysia's defeats to Thailand in several tournaments in 2025, including the disappointing 2025 SEA Games. The SEA 7S 2026 tournament saw a complete overhaul for the Malaysian team. On the first day of the group stage, Malaysia defeated Cambodia 64-0, Brunei 57-7, and Singapore 38-0, securing first place in their group. Meanwhile, Thailand's group stage results included victories over Laos 27-0, Indonesia 40-0, and the Philippines 46-0. As a result, both Malaysia and Thailand finished first in their groups and advanced to the final today. In the final match, Thailand initially led Malaysia 5-0, but Malaysia immediately retaliated, extending their lead to 12-5 at halftime. Despite receiving yellow cards for Malaysian players in the second half, they held their own, preventing Thailand from scoring. This resulted in Malaysia successfully avenging their loss to Thailand, winning narrowly 12-5 and securing the SEA 7s 2026 championship, a commendable achievement.
