Most recreational divers don’t realize this:
An Open Water certification from a recognised ISO-aligned training agency still qualifies a diver to the same Open Water certification level and limitations.
✔ Same maximum training depth (18 or 20m)
✔ Same buddy diving principles
✔ Same recreational diver limitations
At the dive charter, what matters most is:
✔ your skills
✔ your comfort in the water
✔ your experience
✔ diving within your training and limits
Not simply the logo on the certification card.
Many divers are now discovering there are alternatives that can offer the same certification level and diver limitations without the higher agency overheads often associated with large training systems.
The certification level is equivalent.
The agency logo is different.
One may cost significantly more than the other.
