Our midweek game took us up the 7 to Bangpakong Riverside, we have said it numerous times but it’s well worth the little extra distance to play this fantastic course.
Another hot day but a steady breeze helped out, first time in a while nobody got a 40pts here, I think a mixture of the wind and a few pin positions I haven’t seen before, I think someone upset the greenkeeper the night before.
As always we played the white tees at 6400 yards and the course was in great condition, we flew around the front 9 then hit traffic as it was a holiday the course decided to let groups tee off on the 10th, including a couple of 6 balls 🙄.
The top 2 today had to be separated on a CB, well done to today’s winner John McGee with a very good 38pts, nice to see John getting a midweek win on somewhere other than Green valley, solid round mate.
2nd place today was my playing partner Frankie McArdle, again with 38pts but a costly blob on the last prevented another win with us, Frankie’s short game today was unreal, living up to the name Frankie Ballesteros, brilliant round and a great day mate.
3rd place today was another one of my playing partners Adam Barton with 37pts, again getting up and down from everywhere putting on a short game masterclass, that up and down on 15 was filthy!
