Saturday was something a bit different, Danny John and oz from the overated anglers youtube channel joined us for some filming and a friendly match.

The structure for the match was most species and biggest fish.

The match and the day turned out to be a great success with over 100 fish caught between the 6 anglers approx 13 species caught, including a 16 and a 15lb rohu with possibly a bigger one lost.

The winner on the day of the most species was john Harvey with a cracking 9 species and the winner of the biggest fish was myself with a 20lb siamese carp.

All in all the day was a success with lots of banter lots of laughs and some new friends made, I cant wait for the video.

The lake is now closed until the 18th of May for renovations. We are improving access to the banks and upgrading salas aswell as developing our mystery lake we are sorry for any inconvenience but come here for updates.

We were closed for songkran but the previous few days have produced some cracking results, Danny and his wife were back alternating between thai float waggler and Feeder, they kept fish coming all day with a variety of species.
Simon was back fishing a rod length out whilst sitting low to the water, fishing waggler and paste had 11 fish in 2 hours including 4 siamese carp ranging from 20-30lb, another lovely koi carp and a host of commons and juliens.
Pete and Kenny were also back they had over 20 fish between them but it was the lost fish that had everyone talking, 2 pacu that bit through the line estimated at 30lb plus and a big siamese we believe to have been the 50lber as it rolled midway out and it was huge bigger than anything thats been landed since I caught it way back last year.
All methods are working but id say with the hot weather the paste has come into its own.
Still not one person has blanked since we opened in august, its not always about the biggest fish that you may or may not catch its about enjoying your day and going home satisfied.

There has been a few people on the lake in the last week with some cracking results. Yesterday terry Keith and Danny fished all starting on the big thai float, after an hour with only a few small javas caught i advised them to switch to the paste, so all went on the Feeder with paste wrapped around a simgle pice of corn. Danny got off to a flyer having 5 species in 5 casts including a lovely koi carp, siamese carp big java, a redtail catfish and a pompoi (common carp). Everyone started catching with lots af average sized siamese javas juliens and a beautiful coloured koi carp. Terry switched to the waggler fishing paste and had a near 24lb siamese.
Arri and came with his dad a few days ago and managed 10 species in a day with a total of 29 fish, for a 9 year old this boy is going to go a long way in his angling life. He did try a claim a shrimp caught in the net as species number 11 😂😂 nice try arri but no!! haha.
Simon had 3 hours in the afternoon with me watching, he started on the waggler close in on corn for a few javas so I made him up a ball of paste and got him to try that. It was a game changer 12 fish in 3 hours and 6 species.
Water levels are up temperatures are down but no need for excuses as the fishing is still as always red hot, making changes when you need to is key and we are here to spot when you need to do that.
