CRT GYM CRT-GYM is Chiang Rai’s first and only dedicated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) gym. GFT-CRT BJJ is affiliated with the world famous Grappling Fight Team (GFT).

GFT-CRT BJJ is affiliated with the world famous Grappling Fight Team (GFT) from Brazil (www.gfteam.com.br). GFT-CRT BJJ is a member’s club with senior GFT members from Thailand, Brazil and around the world. Visitors to Chiang Rai are welcome to join. The GFT-CRT Junior Team will represent Chiang Rai in national and international BJJ competitions. BJJ sessions are held Tuesday to Friday at 16:45-18:00 (junior) and 18:00-17:30 (adult). Open mat (free) available to members and non-members is held on Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon. CRT-GYM will soon introduce Muay Thai, Fitness and Yoga. GFT Thailand. It took 9 years but we finally won 1st place team at the Siam Cup. The event was a lot of fun and we want to congratulate our friends from China who joined us and helped secure the placing.

Most importantly we want to congratulate those for who it is their first time competing. Showing up itself is half the battle.

GFT Thailand. This weekend we attended the AFG competition in Bangkok. We won best team in No Gi and came second in Gi.

All the coaches are so proud of the students who in many cases fought 1 or 2 weight divisions above their normal fight weights.

GFT Thailand. We are so proud of our girls team. We went to the RSU Championships on Saturday and to the Siam Cup on Sunday with half a team. The boys were off doing other things so it was up to the girls (plus Alex) to keep GFTs name in good order.

The girls fought so well given that many have only been training for 6-12 months. Aviana won best female no gi athlete and the team came 3rd place overall in the Siam Cup.

Next competition is AFG in October. Nun and Iko will be representing Thailand in the Worlds in November.

Thanks to the Siam Cup for all their help and the JJAT and Totto for all their support.

GFT CRT. Coach Beatriz won bronze at the IBJJF Asian Championships. It is Beatriz’s first year as a brown belt so a good showing.

This was GFT CRT’s first showing at the IBJJF Asian Championships. We sent three competitors, Nun, and Beatriz and won 2 bronze. Looking forward to next year.
