Chiang Mai Cobras Rugby Club is an all-inclusive club for rugby players and supporters from across the globe. Cobras Rugby Club is a community based rugby club that aims to achieve rugby excellence from juniors through to seniors with the majority of its players and coaches derived from the local area; it is largely volunteer-run and aims to play a strong positive role in the life of the community

it serves. The Cobras Rugby Club is all about getting in as many games as possible. Along with regular participation in the Chiang Mai Rugby Union League, regular touring will be at the core of the club. We aim to Play as many friendly games against as many of the local sides and build up camaraderie, respect and attract local players to the club. The Cobras Rugby Club will look to become a valued member of the TRU and will abide by their constitution and endeavor to support and compete in TRU events and coaching camps. We will enter into local and regional tournaments to support and build the rugby brand. The Cobras want to be involved in all areas of rugby development, including youth and women's rugby. Be supportive of cultural and social activities and contribute to local charities in various ways. The Cobras will always aim to reach out and be a valuable contributor within the community. Rugby education is important to spread the game and the Cobras have begun a program with World Rugby offering level 1 & Level 2 coaching courses here in Chiang Mai allowing local and expats the opportunity to become certified coaches. We have regular touch rugby sessions on Wednesday evenings at 8pm and more structured training sessions on Saturday mornings. The aim for 2022 is to develop a Youth & Ladies program once the C. The Cobras started off the new era under new management in style, at the Score Chiang Mai, the new Cobras Clubhouse, on Saturday evening.

The gathering of both Lanna & Cobras, who will field a joint Chiang Mai team, the CNX Lanna Cobras, in the upcoming Phuket International Rugby 11s on 6th June, was a jovial affair and Olly, the patron of the score, provided free food and happy hour prices to the guys. Club Secretary, Nils Deichert, presented Olly with the newly designed Cobras shirt with his favourite number on the back.

The club would like to thank new sponsors GSEA Intelligence and New Holland along with old friends, Thai Visa Assist and The Score Sports Bar. We appreciate all that you do for us.

Afterwards Matt Hirst, the Chair of Lanna Rugby Club invited the Cobras to attend their awards evening at the Moathouse, which was a splendid evening with plenty of fun and games and of course, the awards. Thank you to Matt and Lanna for their hospitality.

Good luck to players from both teams representing the CNX Lanna Cobras in what will be a tough tournament in phuket.

The Cobras & Lanna Rugby Club will be representing Chiang Mai in a combined team to take on the best at Phuket International Rugby 11s over the weekend of 5-6 June.

There is a pre tour gathering at our new clubhouse, Score Chiang Mai Sports Bar.

Players from Lanna Rugby Club, Chiangmai Hedgehogs, and Chiangmai Cobras went head-to-head as they prepare for the Chiang Mai 7 Touch Rugby this weekend at The Prince Royal's College.

For the tournament:
🔹 Lanna Rugby Club and Chiangmai Hedgehogs will combine to enter a Lanna X Hedgehogs team in the Open Division
🔹 Chiangmai Cobras will also be entering a team
🔹 Lanna Rugby Club will field a mixed U16 team in the youth division
