The support we’ve had so far has already helped create more opportunities for Thai players to train, compete and become part of the cricket community in Chiang Mai.

Now we want to build on that, getting cricket back into schools, developing Thai coaches and creating more opportunities for young players across Northern Thailand.

We’re working to create more opportunities for Thai players to get involved in cricket, starting at grassroots level and building a pathway that can last.

Our focus over the coming months is on three key areas:

🏫 Getting cricket back into schools.
Rebuilding links with local schools and giving more young people the chance to pick up a bat or ball for the first time.

🇹🇭 Developing Thai coaches.
Supporting local players through coaching qualifications so that cricket can continue to grow within the community.

✈️ Taking Thai players on tour.
Giving our players the opportunity to experience cricket outside Northern Thailand, play against new opposition and bring that experience back to the club.

Every donation goes towards making these programmes possible, whether that’s equipment for schools, coach development, transport, tournament costs or helping a Thai player get on tour.

Even sharing the campaign with someone who loves cricket or has a connection to Thailand can make a real difference.

🏏 We’re building the future of cricket in Northern Thailand. 🇹🇭

Since Chiang Mai Lanna Cricket Club was founded in 2012, Thai players have been part of our story. This video explains why that connection matters to us and where we want to take it next.

Our aim is to build a sustainable pathway for cricket in Northern Thailand: getting the game back into schools, training Thai coaches, creating more opportunities for young players to play regularly and helping talented cricketers progress from school, into club cricket and potentially all the way to the Thai national team.

We already know the talent and enthusiasm are here. With the right support, we can give more young people the opportunity to discover the game and stay involved as they grow.

🏏 Help us grow cricket in Northern Thailand 🇹🇭

We believe there is a huge opportunity to develop cricket across Northern Thailand.

There are already talented and passionate players here. Our goal is to create more opportunities for them to play, improve and stay involved in the game, while introducing cricket to the next generation.

We’ve launched a fundraiser to help us:

🏏 Rebuild links with local schools and introduce more young people to cricket
🇹🇭 Create more opportunities for Thai players to train and compete
🎓 Train and develop more Thai coaches
🚌 Support travel, matches and tournaments

The next three Sundays, Lanna will be battling it out against the Northern Lions (Lamphun Cricket Chiang Mai) for the inaugural U.N. Irish Pub Friendship Series.

With the Chiang Mai T20 league now behind us, with the support of the UN Irish Pub, this annual series brings together two sides with a shared history and camaraderie for some friendly and competitive 35 over cricket.

Come along to Gymkhana club for some enjoyable cricket action.

The cricket season in Chiang Mai gets underway this Sunday 2nd November, with a day of "Eights" cricket at Gymkhana Club. The short pairs format gives local cricketers a chance to tune-up ahead of the upcoming four-team T20 league.

Lanna has matches against CMCC at 12:15pm, and UCC at 3pm. We welcome everyone to come down to enjoy watching and supporting a fun day of local cricket.

Lanna CC is looking for new members ahead of the 2025/26 season. If you're a cricketer in Chiang Mai of any level, gender or age, please get involved - even if you have spent years out of the game. We are a competitive and social club, playing a mix of league cricket and friendly/tournament cricket and enjoying ourselves off the field too.

Club pre-season training commences this weekend (weather permitting) at Gymkhana Club - Sunday 21st September from 4pm. Please feel free to come down to meet some of our players and see if you want to get involved.
