Matsuda Koki, who graduated from APF and is now in his third year as a pro, won his first singles title on July 6, 2025, at the M15 tournament in Maanshan, China.
In the final, he faced Kasidit, a Thai player who’s one year younger.
Kasidit has always stood out to me because he used to compete for a spot on the Thai national team in the U12 and U14 categories against Palm, who also graduated from APF.
I heard that Koki played against him a few times back when he was living in Bangkok.
It really feels like fate that he met a Thai player in the final of his first singles title.
Last June, he got his first doubles title, and now, this July, his first singles win.
I’m excited to see what he does next!
APFの卒業生で、プロ3年目の松田康希選手が、2025年7月6日に中国・Maanshanで開催されたM15の大会で、シングルス初優勝を果たしました。
決勝の相手は、1つ年下のタイのKasidit選手。
Kasidit選手は、同じく卒業生でタイの12歳以下・14歳以下代表だったPalmと代表の座をかけて何度も試合をしていた選手で、私にとっても印象深い存在です。
康希もバンコク在住時に、彼と何度か対戦したことがあったそうです。
それにしても、初優勝の舞台でタイの選手と戦うなんて、運命を感じますね。
昨年6月にダブルスで初優勝し、今年7月にはシングルスで初優勝。
今後のますますの活躍を期待しています！
