12 WOMENS TEAMS FOR LA 2028
For the first time in Olympic Waterpolo history the women’s tournament will have a representation of 12 teams at the Los Angeles Games.
Women were first introduced into the Olympics at the Sydney Games 2000 with only 6 teams, one hundred years after mens waterpolo was played in the Olympics.
This is a milestone for the women’s game and gender parity.
