While often viewed as a fitness regimen, Joseph Pilates’ original "Contrology" was designed as a philosophy for holistic health and a tool for societal improvement. Given the fast-paced, high-stress nature of modern life, the principles of Classical Pilates offer a specific antidote to several contemporary "ailments."

​Here are three ways Contrology can help heal the world we currently live in:

​1. Restoring Physical Integrity in a "Sedentary Age"

​Modern life is increasingly defined by "Tech Neck" and the physical toll of prolonged sitting. Contrology focuses on the Uniform Development of the body, specifically targeting the deep stabilizers of the spine. By prioritizing the "Powerhouse" (the center of the body), it corrects the postural imbalances caused by digital lifestyles.
