Guest Experience Spotlight: Dean Parchment 🌟
Some reviews are a wonderful reminder that a fishing trip can be about much more than the fish. It’s about sharing the experience with family, discovering something new together, and having a team that makes everyone—from experienced anglers to young first-timers—feel welcome.
We especially love hearing that Dean’s children were able to get involved and experience the excitement of landing some truly incredible fish. And that final Arapaima catch for his youngest son sounds like a pretty special way to finish the day! 🎣

“Fished on August 14th 2026: Topcats is an amazing fishery... the fishery is well kept and managed really well. The lake is carefully maintained, also no mosquitoes to worry about!
We met Simon and Larry who were so warm and welcoming, both were very approachable and supportive during our days fishing. Both care a great deal about the fishery... Larry knows his stuff and is very willing to share tips and advice with both young and old who have cone to fish ... He has a great sense of humor too... The guides we had were the best, Di (Doy) and Tadpole were fantastic, patient, speak great Engliah and great with me and my kids. They helped my children and I catch a goliath fish! If you want to have an amazing experience, and to catch some crazy personal best massive exotic fish read the rules, and listen to the guides its as simple as that... the rules help keep you and the fish safe. The fish are in the best condition and are well looked after.
Honestly Ignore any bad reviews you have read, my experience and my children's experience was great.
The fishery caters for non fishers too. My wife enjoyed the pool and was able to relax whilst we fished. The facilities are cared for and clean.
The staff also prepared delicious food and provided a really nice personal touch of checking you were ok or if you needed food and drink. Very good value for money and the portions sizes were very good to!
Together we caught massive siamese carp, Red tail catfish, Asian red tail catifish, massive mekong catfish and a massive Arapaima which my youngest son caught at the end of the day, thanks to the guides Di and Tadpole...
For those who want to catch bucket list fish, Topcats is a must!”
